Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 May 30, 2010 6:04 pm We are looking at vinyl planks for our home extension and were impressed with the Karndean. However we went to Carpet Choice the other day and saw mFLOR which is supposed to be new to Australia. They look pretty good but has anyone heard of them or used them before? Thanks Re: Anyone heard of mFLOR vinyl planks? 2Jun 11, 2010 11:02 am have not heard of Mflor but we were also thinking of using Karndean but decided to go with the Gerflor (Iron Bark). I think Amtico and Karndean are overpriced. My advice is to shop around and purchase the vinyl planks yourself and get a contractor to lay it. Or get an individual contractor to supply do the work. Most of these carpet shops subcontract the work out hence the excessive cost. Look up in gumtree and type vinyl planks there is a supplier that can can offer competitive price. We are having cork install as an insulation, follow with masonite and finish with Gerflor planks. Good Luck. Re: Anyone heard of mFLOR vinyl planks? 3Jun 11, 2010 9:02 pm At a starting price of $39 m2, including adhesive, I wouldn't say that either is too expensive. There is a reason those two brands dominate the market... Karndean will range from $39, up to $79 as a general rule. Amtico will range from $39, up $130. All depends on the range. Allure is $49 and requires no pro laying as it floats. Saves a fortune in floor prep and laying costs. Lifetime Warranty.
