Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Sep 18, 2009 2:20 pm Hi Ash, I've read a lot of your posts on both carpet and underlay and found your info to be helpful and informative. I'm just wondering if you could tell me what sort of quality I can expect with my builders standard underlay when it says "Residential Green" underlay? I assume that it's foam? I already know I'll probably want to upgrade it but I don't want to go wild and spend too much money. Any advice on a mid-range underlay, better than standard but not top of the range (like your PRIME ). Thanks again Re: Question for Ash about underlay? 2Sep 18, 2009 11:32 pm Builders stuff will be crap. A good all round underlay without breaking the bank is Excellay from Dunlop. If its more than you want to pay, see if Dunlop Springtred is within budget. Cheers! Ash.
