Default locations seem to be garage, front entry and living/dining area. We requested garage one be moved to kids hallway. Thoughts? Did anyone have their alarm and garage door remote put together? Something else in relation to the alarm. We were told we could add a reed switch to the laundry door for added security which is linked to the alarm. Has anyone added this and have a pic of what it looks like? Also if you added did you have to upgrade the alarm panel to suit? We are waiting to hear from electrician about it all. As far as build, nothing has happened since internal pipes were done a couple of weeks ago as was held up by nearly a weeks rain. Seriously hoping to see movement again in next couple of days or at least next week. 20/11/15 - Settled land 06/11/15 - Request 1st tender BH 21/04/16 - Colour Selections and Contracts Signed 31/05/16 - Commencement Letter 24/06.16 - Started work onsite - cut and benching begun Re: Who is building with Beechwood 12892Jul 13, 2016 6:23 pm poppet82 any more photos of finished bathrooms and kitchens? Hey Moscato5, my question for you is, do you have an external entry door into the garage other than your Roller door? this does tend to be something people like to get into and steal all those valuable tools, etc.. etc. If its not too much i would definitely put a reed on the Laundry Door and maybe even leave the garage one there and put one near the kids rooms, for a little extra coverage, depending on the System, (pretty sure its Bosch, i would have to check specs), you can usually setup zones/(inputs) into night arming areas, so when you are these stay armed over night, i currently do that on all doors and windows where i am now, this way if someone does get in the laundry or even garage the alarm will go off. I myself will be eventually having Reeds on every Window & Door & PIR's in every room, but that's just me, hey its what i do for work so i save lots on installation & parts come pretty cheap, and i already have lots, so lucky. Thanks. No we don't have an external door to the garage only the roller door. The alarm system is the Hills NX4. We will need to upgrade the panel to add the reed switch which seems reasonably priced. We aren't handy with tools so don't have much in that sense lol. It gets a bit pricey when you start upgrading extra PIR's etc so still a bit iffy as what to do. Especially seemings we've just been hit up with extra spoil removal. 20/11/15 - Settled land 06/11/15 - Request 1st tender BH 21/04/16 - Colour Selections and Contracts Signed 31/05/16 - Commencement Letter 24/06.16 - Started work onsite - cut and benching begun Re: Who is building with Beechwood 12899Jul 15, 2016 9:44 pm Moscato5 Thanks. No we don't have an external door to the garage only the roller door. Ahh same as us, i did think about it though, lol, in that case they would be making a lot of noise and be visible to everyone trying to get in your garage, so as for that then you could very well move it down the back, Moscato5 The alarm system is the Hills NX4. Good residential system, been around for many years, very reliable. Moscato5 We will need to upgrade the panel to add the reed switch which seems reasonably priced. Not a bad idea if its only cheap, i would say they would go to the R8 so an extra 4 zones, Building Standards; Getting It Right! Also an expansion joint. It will probably be better to silicon it? What I don't like is that joints between panels are not properly rendered and look ugly. 1 24760 I’m curious about how you went with this.
