Can't wIt for the photos Re: Ryalls - Coral Homes Noosa 26 - Week 19 Internals 1449Sep 29, 2016 1:15 pm MrsJM In case you didn't see my reply in the general thread... But don't panic ok because they can fix it WHAT IS ACID BURN? Acid Burn (Iron oxide stain) is the formation of a yellow, orange or brown rust like stain that occurs on the face of the brick which may also leach into the mortar joint, casued by the reaction between the iron oxides in the brick and/or motar sand and hydrochloric acid application. Acid Burn can result due to a number of factors, the most common being: - Failure to saturate bricks thoroughly with water before the application of acid. - Failure to rinse of Acid thoroughly after the process. - Failure to perform the neutralising process when required with high iron content bricks e.g. Queensland Bricks. - Working in the direct sunlight. An additional process and chemical application technique can be used to remove this burn and acceptable results can be achieved. Naww thanks so much lovely! What would we do without you?! I spoke to the brick supplier and the supervisor - he said they would need another kind of wash, which they could do once the scaffolding come off.. No idea when that will be. So im ok with it for now.. Just hope your right and it can be fixed.. i love my bricks _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Ryalls - Coral Homes Noosa 26 - Week 19 Internals 1450Sep 29, 2016 1:16 pm mim_feher Do you have a walk through or inspection booked with SS at all? sekisui build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75060&p=1573965#p1573965 We are meeting with him next Friday .. Great to hear things are planned for progress. I went by ours this morning and our cabinets are still sitting there. We have one carpenter on site who I spoke to. He is working on all the doors, handles, shelves and architraves. He will be working today and tomorrow, then back next Thursday Fri. He said the kitchen people should be back to install all the cabinets but it looked like they wouldn't be there today to do. I hope yours get installed today for you. Not sure why ours were a drop and run. Re: Ryalls - Coral Homes Noosa 26 - Week 19 Internals 1455Sep 29, 2016 4:23 pm Any news from the house yet??
