We are worn out after it all. Got through it pretty smoothly, have a few minor things we need to sort out. Other than that we sorted colours! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Polar white silk : cabinets in kitchen, bathrooms & laundry. Osprey : caesarstone bench tops. Dulux Ghosting half strength : on walls Dulux White exchange : for skirting, doors & frames Monument : for aluminium window frames, roof & gutters. Dune : water tank (connected to laundry & toilets) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Moon dust bricks : single height Off white mortar (upgrade) Seville : horizontal panel garage door. Charcoal stain : Hume 1200 entry door Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Light tile is walls in wet areas. Dark tile is floor & up side of bath. Vinyl plank in "natural pearl" throughout house. Hexagon tile for feature in shower. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Dark carpet in media only. We also upgraded our tap slightly in the kitchen to the angular range to match the bathroom taps. Changed range hood and got it built into overhead cupboards. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Got above style (not colour) for inside Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Upgraded toilets to Luna, standard was so ugly! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Internal door handles (standard) Also changed the front door handle to a bigger one, changed some taps & towel rails etc. Bigger sink.. Would you believe I got stuck choosing skirting >_< haha! Clipsal was ok, clients before us cut into our appointment by 45 minutes.. Still got it done it time, over budget I guess but to be expected. Few variations to sort out then hopefully on the way to a start date! Half asleep, not sure what I've left out in the post, just hope it makes sense. Getting excited! One step closer now. You can see we're sticking to neutrals Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 30Apr 08, 2016 7:50 am Oh my god. What range/colour is it? We didn't even get asked whether we wanted to upgrade things like the toilet and garage doors... Sounds like you qld folk have a much better colour appointment than nsw Woohoo! Yes feels great with only a few small things to bring to their attention. Also with our high ceilings they decided to put cement sheeting above every window instead of bricks so we've asked for a price to upgrade that.. Looks quite unappealing. It was a huge day but got through it! I did so much research and planning before, really helped on the day. Hubby agreed to all my decisions, so great we were on the same page with colours & style. We had 3-4 garage door styles, timber was quite an upgrade, we were happy with it painted the same as the roof for some contrast. And the toilet.. Some say "it's only a toilet" but that was a definite upgrade for us. Along with changing the bulky rang hood, we want a sleek minimalist design. Here is the carpet, it's soo soft we chose this one as a lot of the other carpets were looking too blue or brown, and this was more black/charcoal like we wanted Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 32Apr 08, 2016 12:11 pm Great selections! How did you go changing bedroom floors to planks instead of carpet, did they charge you extra? Also was it much to upgrade the toilet, that does look like a nice toilet and its much better having it flat against the wall, easier to clean! Bet it feels great to have everything chosen, ready to build now! Bet it feels great to have everything chosen, ready to build now! I think we were lucky to get a big block, a lot these days are between 400-600sqm, ours is 780sqm w/ 20m frontage. We really wanted a design that we got side access with and a seperate media room, open plan. Flush joins no extra, think we're back to round joins or whatever standard is, as we might keep brick and not render. We love the colour we chose.. Moon dust. We are "owner supplying" all flooring, and lighting. That way we got what we wanted & got some credits from coral. To change from the basic toilet to the Luna, it was over $200 each, don't have prices yet. Looks nicer thou and so much easier to clean! I don't like the way those standard ones collect dust >_< Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 36Apr 08, 2016 4:14 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We decided we won't be mowing this again until we have a start date haha the last time we did, the mower overheated when we only had 3 strips left! YAY Just waiting for clipsal & colour variations to come back from coral. We need to give them our tile details (owner supply, coral install wet areas) and a few small things then we should get our start date. I think I have changed my mind on tiles... not 100% on our choice. I asked about paperwork for ducted aircon also as we said we are supplying & installing, but need to do a rough in during build. Heard nothing so far, so I asked today and she is saying too late to raise a variation? Not happy jan, going to make sure its easy for our aircon guys to get in there before handover!
