Yep, that's right. We are planning of drafting an as-built plans for all the elements of the house. That was planned since site started but haven't done even one bit! Re: First Home Build - Sekisui Sydney - Luzia 311May 30, 2016 12:47 pm cat_dunc Even take measurements if you know you'll put cabinets or a TV on a wall. Measure and photograph the tape measure next to the studs. Record where cables and pipes etc are. Good idea thanks. I will get hubby to do this week before insulation / gyprock comes next week. Re: First Home Build - Sekisui Sydney - Luzia 312May 31, 2016 10:08 am The bricks were cleaned yesterday and they turned out really good!
Didn't have any photo as we can't find the camera. Then I just had a call from the SS saying the camera is with him given by the brickies who found it yesterday! Ooopsss....were busted coming in the house! Re: First Home Build - Sekisui Sydney - Luzia 313May 31, 2016 6:15 pm A glimpse of our much awaited cleaned bricks...

Re: First Home Build - Sekisui Sydney - Luzia 315Jun 02, 2016 2:42 pm In the past few days I've been a little bit worried when I received a sample of the carpet that we have chosen. All along I thought its a grey tone but was surprised that it was actually brown!
And the fact that we have already purchased sets of bed / heads / base for all the rooms in dark grey, makes me want to change the carpet. So I had a chance to ask the colour consultant today. She's been so nice and sent me a photo where she put together the carpet, the wall paint (taupe grey) and a swatch of dark grey. She said it will look great. Looking at the photo, I'm convinced! Phew! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: First Home Build - Sekisui Sydney - Luzia 316Jun 03, 2016 2:12 pm Had a really good chat with SS today.
He reckons; 1. After site tidy and remainder of front porch roof are tiled next week, the insulation and gyprock installation will commence. 2. Insulation installation 1 day 3. Gyprock 8 working days (can be done on 5 days) 4. After gyprock stairs will be delivered and installed 5. Waterproofing will commence - 1 day to complete. 6. Tilers will commence 7. Kitchens and cabinetry all ordered but supplier advised there is currently 1 wk delayed in manufacture 8. Then painters and other stuff. All up he said, PCI will be between 8-12 weeks from now. It means probably September - I'm stoked!
