Welcome to the first e-news update from 'The Heartlands'.
Over the coming months, we will endeavour to keep you
up-to-date with the latest construction, sales and community
news, so stay tuned for more information as it comes to pass.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Asset1 is pleased to confirm that as of this week, construction at The Heartlands is back in full swing after the delays caused by recent higher than average rainfall and the Christmas holiday period.
Civil works are currently underway across stages one, three, six, seven and eight, and pending no further inclement weather, stages one and six are now expected to reach settlement in early June, stage three is earmarked for settlement in late June and stages seven and eight are now expected to settle in July.
Melbourne's uncharacteristically wet summer period resulted in excess rain which slowed construction, however we can now announce that approval has been granted by Melbourne Water to construct a drainage discharge point from The Heartlands' wetland region through to Davis Road.
This drainage point will allow any excess storm water collected at The Heartlands to exit the estate andflow into the nearby creek system, thus minimising any further construction delays due to water pooling.
Asset1 would like to assure purchasers that some civil works were able to continue throughout this period, and as a result, all major excavation and underground plumbing works have been completed, meaning construction can soon commence on the estate's first roadways.
For more information, please contact either steven@asset1.com.au or michelle@asset1.com.au or visit the land sales centre on the corner of Davis Road and Isabella Way, Tarneit. (Mel 234 H2).
THE HEARTLANDS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP
WITH THE WERRIBEE MERCY HOSPITAL
We are extremely pleased to announce our new partnership with the Werribee Mercy Hospital!
From this month onwards, $300 from every allotment sold at The Heartlands will be donated to the Werribee Hospital, to help fund the state-of-the-art, $15 million birthing ward that is now underway.
This new maternity ward will help support the needs of our growing community, and each donation from The Heartlands will be allocated towards funding this vital new facility.
The Heartlands is privileged to be involved with such an important community icon and we look forward to fostering a thriving relationship with the hospital in the years to come.
FESTIVAL FUN
Werribee's landmark community festival, 'Weerama' was back in full swing this year and The Heartlands was
on-hand to provide show bags, balloons and face painting to over 12,000 attendees on Sunday 27th February.
The cold, wet and windy weather proved troublesome for event organisers, and just when Melbourne's signature rainy weather threatened to derail the entire festival, the sun began to shine and the City of Wyndham residents came out in droves.
Our very own face painter proved a popular feature at The Heartlands' stall and huge crowds gathered throughout the day to await the complimentary service.
All-in-all the festival was a fun-filled community event and if you didn't make it down this year, we recommend you put it into your calendar for next year!
