Browse Forums Buying Land 1 Apr 20, 2024 9:15 am We just had a pool dig and was told by our contractor the pool would need piers. They spoke to the engineer who advised the piers would need to be concrete. When the builder drilled the holes he said it was going deeper than expected. The contractor went back to the engineer and he has told the pool builder that he did t agree with soil and bore hole test and said well the owner could go ahead with screw piers but he wasn’t not happy to sign off as he didn’t believe the property developers soil report. We have already paid $9000 to pool company plus removal of fill and bobcat hire. The pool builder has advised to replace the soil and build an over ground pool instead. I’m so confused 🫤 is the land developer responsible or not. We have built on land a 2 storey house and had 9 Concrete piers put in one side of the house but our site manager said there was rock it was a tricky slab.
