They have everything booked in and ordered so there are no delays. The plaster and bricks are to be completed next week, they have had the fixing carpenters in this week to straighten all the walls and knock up the bath hob ready for plastering and then the month of August is flat out! I am so so excited!! See Cam positive vibes mate!!!! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81627&p=1505759#p1505759 Re: Our build- Henley, Monaco lux 2 in bayside Melbourne KDR 266Jul 15, 2016 11:02 am Haha that's awesome news Jane! You positive vibes outmatched my negative grumblings You must be stoked! You better get planning on all of your post-handover jobs. Re: Our build- Henley, Monaco lux 2 in bayside Melbourne KDR 267Jul 15, 2016 11:23 am Hahaha you weren't negative Lets call it logical thinking yeah very stoked I mean lets just hope it all goes as planned on paper. And yes, we are doing just that, thinking about pool fences and pool tiller, solor hot water for the pool, landscaping.... it's just more money! Jay can do lot of the fencing and landscaping himself and our uncle owns a pool company so we will get tillers for cheap, and he has a whole bunch of left over tiles that are the colour I was after from a job so that's free, feeling very lucky on that one. We have equipment already a lot was left over stock which we got dirt cheap, again bey lucky, we have a fair idea of what we want for our front fence I'll post up ideas soon and as I said I'm away for 2 week with the kids so he will have a lot of time to get the important stuff done outside while we are gone. I actually need to get some contacts for Expossed ag...do anyone know anyone???? viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81627&p=1505759#p1505759 Re: Our build- Henley, Monaco lux 2 in bayside Melbourne KDR 268Jul 18, 2016 5:51 pm Bricks have started and most of the insulation the brickie is very very neat and tidy, and really happy with the insulation, roof insulation to be done tomorrow and then on to the plaster. Do they wash light coloured bricks at the end or just dark ones? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Entry looking down to main living. Everything looks great! Looks like you've got a lot of natural light coming in too which is fantastic. Re: Our build- Henley, Monaco lux 2 in bayside Melbourne KDR 278Jul 30, 2016 7:19 am Hey Libby, yeah it's nice to be able to see the natural light coming through that photo was last night around 430-5 and it was pouring so on a good day it will be lovely bright space. Our front door is hiding in that photo behind some bubble wrap I can't wait to see that installed, I'm still a bit dissapoitned about the stain not sure if they have more choice now as we didn't want to go too dark....are you happy with yours? I forgot if they had a lighter one after that clear stain? I may check this week I think.... viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81627&p=1505759#p1505759 Our build- Henley, Monaco lux 2 in bayside Melbourne KDR 280Jul 30, 2016 7:52 am JaneW Hey Libby, yeah it's nice to be able to see the natural light coming through that photo was last night around 430-5 and it was pouring so on a good day it will be lovely bright space. With our light roof, light bricks and white weatherboard, the stain gives the facade some warmth. It's also going to match nicely with our front porch, gate and fencing. I'm sure it will suit your colours too. It looks nice against the white and as your garage door is white, It will look good with yours too. The stain does look a little different on the front door but it's not bothering me any more. Can't wait to see yours. The front door can have such a big impact. We didn't get a bigger front door, as we wanted a more 'suburban' look from the front. It does look a bit odd from the inside though because we increased the internal door heights where we could. I'm used to it now, I don't hang around inside the entry foyer looking at the door, I'm too busy! We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37160 The biggest challenge will be if you take out a loan and then run out of money - you'll have an incomplete security and lenders do not like this so you can get stuck.… 2 19114 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13449 |
