Browse Forums Laundry Appliances 1 Mar 06, 2022 11:07 pm Hi All, We recently moved and our new place has a European-style laundry in the garage. We have a front loader (Electrolux EWF14742) that's 84.8 cm high (which seems to be pretty standard) but unfortunately it is literally 2-3 mm off fitting under the bench. The bench has a big overhanging lip - there would be plenty of clearance if we could just get it under. I'm keen to hear if anyone has any suggestions, before we replace the perfectly good machine or mess around with the bench. The feet don't seem to come all the way out so that's a no-go. The top does come off but I'm assuming it would be dangerous to run the machine without a lid, even once under the bench? Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks! The tops on these machines are usually only aesthetic and put putting stuff on. You should be fairly safe to remove the top to slide it under. Dark matter scientist, can breathe underwater, mind reader and can freeze matter just by willing it. Trust me, its in my sig.
