Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Dec 10, 2020 2:02 pm Hi We are moving into our new home this weekend and it desperately needs some cosmetic touches. Its a little grandpa spec... I really want to add some deep tones to the walls but am abstaining untill we've lived in it for a while and i get a feel for space and the furniture we want etc... I will be painting the walls white and am thinking of using something like quaker white by wattyl or natural white/antique white usa by dulux ( they might be a bit too creamy though) I also quite like mother of pearl by taubmans and popcorn/irish linen by porters paints..... who knew not all whites are equal. We are also needing to update the floors at the moment its old carpet and vinyl sheet in the lounge and master bedroom and proper slate in the kitchen family. We are thinking a laminate in spotted gum or blackbutt but hubby also likes the more ash/grey type colours without them being proper grey. i prefer blonde/natural golden colours i think they would suit the fact the house is near the beach. i want to pain the skirtings but am in two minds about painting the trim on doors and windows. I guess if i do one i have to do the other? Any colours scheme or laminate suggestions would be greatly appreciated first time using this forum.
