Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 May 24, 2011 7:56 pm Hi, I am new to this, and am needing some advice on colours. We are building a new house with about 6 courses of Blue Steel flash bricks on the bottom, and at this stage the main render colour is to be beige royal. We were thinking of a Dune roof, fascia and garage, but unsure if we should maybe use shale grey???We also have a couple of feature cladding areas to be painted, and we want a darker grey, and are tossing up between milton moon and natural stone. I know they are different, but is Milton Moon too nblue? It would go wit the brick, but would it be too blue for the dune roof? We are building in an area where you have to use their colours, and don't have a big range. IS Milton Moon quite dark? Any advice on tones would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!!!! Re: Render and colorbond colours-new house 3May 25, 2011 8:32 am We only have the plans, and I can't figure out how to attach it! BAsically, it has brick around the bottom, then a feature of James Hardy cladding just under roofline, as we have 3.9 ceilings in the front room, and there is also cladding in the centre of the front room, with windows on either side. It has a traditional colourbond roof with wide eaves. /Users/elizabethsusic/Desktop/CCF25052011_00001.jpg Re: Render and colorbond colours-new house 4May 25, 2011 9:27 am How to post images. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1272 Re: Render and colorbond colours-new house 5May 25, 2011 9:50 am Thanks for that-hopefully this works!!! But I think you need a darker stronger colour somewhere. It's all a bit light (apart from the bricks). What colours will your garage door be and window frames?? Re: Render and colorbond colours-new house 7May 25, 2011 1:18 pm So, we were thinking 'dune' for the garage, roof snd windows, fascia and gutting? Would you do the cladding in the natural stone or milton moon....I see what you mean about browns against the brick...I am leaning to Natural stone now. Thoughts? Thanks so much!!!! Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 3333 thanks chippy! here is the back of the wall which has not been backfilled yet. Here is the same back of the wall taken from the other end, behind the steps. As you… 5 2169 |
