Changing the depth of colours is tricky borg….once you start to do that the colour starts to change slightly.

I regularly stick to full strength where I can, its safer that way, you know what you are getting.

If in doubt….always get sample pots to start with.

hmmmm 1/2 strength is a standard color . does this fall into the sam caergory as you are talking about??

I bought a dulux sample pot of Dul Limed white (1/2). I like the color so i ordered my 15 litre drum of haymes paint. When i painted the paint on the wall it looked different. It turns out tha is is slighly more beige then the dulux sample pot. The funny thing is when i paint onthe paper sample with the haymes I cant even see which is printed and which is painted. It turns out the dulux color isnt that true as the orginal dulux sample.

I just hope it looks good. I did a small area with two coats and it looks much better still not the grey hue on of the dulux sample pot, and i will never be able to find out what color it is as it is probably wrong now on the sample pot label.

They are only standard colours now, as people are doing the ¼ and ½ all the time, once upon a time, you had to ask for it.

Sounds like you may not have had the paint mixed right….by whoever?
I might be wrong, but I’ve been dealing with Dulux for 14 years, which is why I am still using them, what you see is what you get.

UNLESS, you change to anther brand of paint.
That’s when problems CAN happen, although, should not.

yes like you have mentioned many times on this forum I have gotten my sample pot from bunnings :n: .

looks like once again they have stuff it up. I am using the haymes paint as find it better than anything else that i have used. Their ceiling white is got to be the best paint product i have ever seen.

I know this is old, but if you had a picture of your Limed White Half house I would love to see it as that is what we are painting the render of our house that we are building right now.

As for your problem... Could the issue be that you got Haymes paint rather than Dulux and the white base is slightly different before they tint it?? I know some of the different brands vary slightly in their bases.
