Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Jan 31, 2007 8:57 am I want to change the colour scheme of the inside of my house. The house is about 7 years old. Internally, the colour scheme at present is:
all walls: - a light coffee colour door/window and skirting frames: - a darker shade of the walls all internal doors: - cream aluminium windows and doors: - are a beige/sand colour. kitchen: - terracotta type colour wall tiles: - all cream coloured floor tiles: - beige/cream (dark) with splashes of a pink colour throughout. My concerns are: I would like to change all the skirting and window/door frames to a dark blushish grey colour called Tidal Storm (British Paints brand), and repaint all the walls with a lighter colour called Quicksilver (Taubmans brand). - do you think that these colours will blend in with the doors and windows which I can't change? The swatches that I have of these colours seem to look great against the kitchen, and the cream doors, and I have painted some patches on a wall and door frame an area of one window frame. The wall colour looks really nice especially against the door and door frame, but I am unsure of the look against the window? Is it possible for someone to envisage this combination of colours or do you need something to see to base some comments on? I don't have a photo at this stage, but will be able to post some photos (if it would make things easier) when my camera is returned to me soon. All comments, thoughts and suggestions greatfully accepted. thanks Beau I'm renovating - building a small extension at the back of the late Edwardian house. This is the first stage.
