Why did you remove the pic of your creation, Carmel? I thought you did a fantastic job! I also remember making those when I was younger. All good fun!!
I have been so busy over the past 6 months, that making any of my artwork had taken a back seat...somewhere. I managed to find it again whilst I'm on holidays, and have been creating.
This is my latest, titled "Travelling Butterflies" and was made out of a Readers Digest atlas from the early 60's I picked up cheap at a fete. It's already in the shop waiting for someone to buy it.
I've already made another one in this style out of vintage sheet music to go above our bed. Lots more ideas stored in my head, just have to find some time...hopefully once the kids go back to school!
Well done to everyone else who has let their creative side fly! It's not hard when you set your mind to it! All good fun, and I find it very therapeutic!

They are lovely Stormy - I've seen lots of your butterfly creations but they always look new and fresh - must be due to using all that old paper!! I bet the vintage music one looks good!

Stormy I LOVE them!
I was in a store once that had some beautiful butterfly art, and while they assured me the butterflies had lived long happy lives, died a natural and peaceful death etc.. it still made me so sad to look at them.
Your pictures are so much more beautiful. Well done.
Angelblue had just seen your post, how have you gone with your canvas art - I actually brought my canvas art from the place where your pics are from, I am really happy with them.

Hi there Ring09,
I have'nt started them yet. We've had some major issues with our roof after a recent storm. It took a bit of doing to get the problem sorted. But thankfully as of last week everything has been fixed and re-painted.
So once I've re-organised the house, I'll have a go at it and post some pics.
Have you posted pics of your canvas prints? I would love to see them
Fabulous artwork Alinta .. the first one is very dark but great! I've got plenty of room for your crazy tree I'm having a go at painting myself and soon realised it's not as easy as it looks!

Very good keza - you know to keep it simple - I find I get into trouble when I try and put too much into the picture
