Post subject:  Which colour roman blind (links included)
Hello Michelle I am after your advice yet again!! (and anyone else who cares to comment!!)

The house we have purchased has quite dark wood floors and a timber kitchen (pic attached) I also have a dark wooden dining table (see link) I am planning on purchasing some hghback leather dining chairs in a pale colour (very milky latte or lighter I am open to suggestions on this as well!)

I want to get a roman blind from blindsonline I have attached a link to the roman blind page. What colour do you think would work ok? I have no idea.

I like pearl and cashew, maybe vanilla. I would use a colour that is similar to your wall colour if you want it to blend in (hope that makes sense). Not good with words this morning. :oops:

I would try and get the blind as close to wall colour as possible. That way it doesn't become a feature and lets your table stand out.

This is my rule of thumb also…….by making the blind the wall colour, or as close as you can, you are extending the room from not cutting off with a different colour. :D


Stacker and romans?????? Not sure if that’s you best choice in a blind for a door. :?

Make sure it gets hung high over the door frame, or you will be ducking coming in and out of the doors. :D

Just as Michelle said, make sure the roman blind get hung higher over the door frame, so when it is up it is just covering the door frame instead of hanging on the inside of it.

Thanks everyone I did speak to someone and $ curtains and blinds and she said that romans were quite popular with stackers but as Michelle said they make sure they are hung well above the door frame.

Petal - I love that table too but I could never afford their stuff. An interior desginer was selling it on Ebay as she was redecorating her house and it no longer suited so I got it for a bargain.
