To confirm, are you suggesting the following: - Bricks: Austral Everday Leisure - Roof: Tungsten Prestige tiles - Windows: Pearl white Aluminum - Cladding, downpipes, Barge, meterbox: Dune - Garage: Dune? (As much as we would love to, we prefer not to upgrade to timber-look due to budget restraints) - Capping: Monument - Front door: Timber (or possibility painted if we don't upgrade) - Gutter and Fascia: Both Monument OR Monument gutter with white fascia (to tie in the windows?) - Watertank: Dune I was trying to have a different garage colour to cladding colour to break it up a bit so it's not all dune unless you think this is not necessary? What if we did Dune Garage and Manhatten Cladding, would that be contrast enough? Here is a photo of a house that used the Everyday Leisure bricks and small amounts of Ironstone (though starting to agree that perhaps Ironstone might not be the right colour for us) http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/qq55/kgg123_2008/Capture1.png Here is a photo of a house that has used Manhatten on the cladding and nice white windows: http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/qq55/kgg123_2008/Capture3.png Really appreciate any thoughts. Thanks Re: Help needed - external colour scheme 6Oct 12, 2015 8:46 am You don't want too many colours. I think you will have enough variety with a dark roof + dune + brick colour + timber door + white windows. When you add in driveway colour + landscape, there is enough going on. It can be confusing but that's why I offer the visual service. Alternatively, follow michelle's advice if she has time to add anything. Re: Help needed - external colour scheme 7Oct 12, 2015 9:29 am Thanks very much d@n. Really appreciate it. Yes we have been very confused. I'm new to this forum. I didn't realise you offered a visual service. That sounds good. Could you please give me an idea of cost involved to do that? Thanks Re: Help needed - external colour scheme 9Oct 12, 2015 4:39 pm Get a visual from Dan.... then we know which way to move next. He's worth the money. It looks great and has really helped give us a bit more clarity. http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/qq55/kgg123_2008/Washington%20Elevation%201.jpg My husband was wondering if we should make the cladding a double strength of Dune but I'm thinking it looks good as it is. What do you think? We were also thinking we should have the downpipes in Dune, rather than Monument, to blend in with the cladding and the bricks better so they are less noticeable. Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks Katie Re: Help needed - external colour scheme 11Oct 14, 2015 9:00 am Hi Katie, As I always recommend to everyone...get sample pots of the colours. So you should get one of Dune and one Dune double. Do the test next to the bricks. Remember while they look good on your monitor, once all these colours go out in the light, they can lighten up 1/2 their strength depending on the depth of the colour. Yes, have the down pipes in Dune. However, we are still deciding if we go for package deal or buy land and build later the Washington 32. We need your help, with the Washington base price, how much percentage did you guys add up to get to the total tender price? The deal we got now is additional 35% of the Washington 32 design base price (turnkey package and fixed price), the tender price is the same. Do you think 35% is too much? If I build, do you think it will be around 20%? We really appreciate your help.
