Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 381Dec 19, 2014 8:43 am Well that's a nice piece of news indeed! I remember reading they were having some skeleton staff available over the break? Meh, I'm pretty certain now that it will all be pushed back and our builder will try and hit us up for a tender/price increase... I imagine some builders will be lenient if it's only a few days extra? Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 383Dec 19, 2014 8:52 am Masterton, who's office is also closed until the 18th Jan. We are credited the time though which is great. Thank god for this forum, I haven't received a single piece of communication or update from Lend Lease in regards to our block. I find myself stalking these pages for any sign of information! lol Cl'd/Peg: 20/03/2015 Cut & Slab: 24/4/2015 & 3/05/2015 Frames: 28/05/2015 Roof: 21/06/2015 Bricks: 11/07/2015 Lock Up: 7/08/2015 PCI: 18/11/2015 Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 384Dec 19, 2014 9:04 am I also think we will be hit with a price increase from Masterton. Our tender is up on the the 22nd of Feb so if we are not released into construction before then, we are subject to the price increase. It sucks because they push you to sign the contract so early, yet the land isn't even registered. I will argue the point so fingers crossed. Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 386Dec 19, 2014 9:16 am is that also including the 4 weeks of credit for shutdown 89joel? We we're also pushed into signing the contract very early, a fixed house and land package price should stay fixed...I can see though how people lose trust in builders, anything in your tender about a monthly charge if construction doesn't start on time? There was one in every one of our tenders but suspiciously missing in the final one... Not going to stress about it leading into Christmas though, all arguments and battles are reserved for 2015 ; ) Cl'd/Peg: 20/03/2015 Cut & Slab: 24/4/2015 & 3/05/2015 Frames: 28/05/2015 Roof: 21/06/2015 Bricks: 11/07/2015 Lock Up: 7/08/2015 PCI: 18/11/2015 Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 387Dec 19, 2014 9:18 am I wonder how quickly they will take the fence down. Would love to be able to walk on our block on the weekend Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 389Dec 19, 2014 9:24 am Ah good. I will drive by on my way home tonight. Hopefully the gates will be open Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 390Dec 19, 2014 9:25 am Awesome. If you can let us know if the gates are down i'll head out there tonight as well if they are Cl'd/Peg: 20/03/2015 Cut & Slab: 24/4/2015 & 3/05/2015 Frames: 28/05/2015 Roof: 21/06/2015 Bricks: 11/07/2015 Lock Up: 7/08/2015 PCI: 18/11/2015 Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 392Dec 19, 2014 9:34 am Thanks Mate! Can we confirm that lend lease are closed from the 23rd until the 4th and the dates required for settlement etc? I've tried to call the office but can't seem to get through Cl'd/Peg: 20/03/2015 Cut & Slab: 24/4/2015 & 3/05/2015 Frames: 28/05/2015 Roof: 21/06/2015 Bricks: 11/07/2015 Lock Up: 7/08/2015 PCI: 18/11/2015 Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 393Dec 19, 2014 9:48 am I think the close dates are just the sales office. Settlement will more depend on their solicitors and head office. I will wait to hear what my solicitors say. They probably haven't received the notice of registration yet. I just happened to do check because we were talking about it here Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 394Dec 19, 2014 9:50 am I've just received an email from Lend Lease advising that the blocks have registered and that settlement will take place in 14 days. We've forwarded it onto our solicitor and will wait and see. I'm so excited that it registered! My lawyers wrote to Lend Leases' lawyers during the week and the response was that they weren't accepting requests for extension of settlement periods until after the land registered and they decided on the settlement date. Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 396Dec 19, 2014 10:06 am It's over 160 blocks being registered so I am guessing they will be inundated with people concerned about settlement being over the Christmas Period Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 398Dec 19, 2014 10:46 am Nice and expensive! I called my solicitor to let them know and they said they had not heard anything but will follow up. Hopefully the gates are open but I cant get out there tonight as I have work =[ Re: Jordan Springs [NEW] 400Dec 19, 2014 10:49 am I just emailed about it. We shall see! They've sent everything to my solicitor so we will just have to see I guess. I can't get time off this side of Christmas to sign anything anyways A person needs to be licensed to offer financial advice.
