Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Switch Homes. WE HAVE A DATE !! 345May 25, 2016 10:34 pm Today our splashback was finally finished and the induction hotplate installed. Toilet and bin have been removed. Painter coming tomorrow everything is getting done excellent I did leave the maintenance guy a list of what needed to be done he was happy as he didn't have a list and was just looking for things. We had an email today from CLO saying that SS has confirmed works are complete on site ................... really!! funny that Patch up painting still to be done stackers not quite finished front door & garage door need painting and handles door handle to bathroom both bathrooms needs all the silicon to be done ensuite shower door changed downpipes have not been fixed ......... not finished off and wrong colour one drain outside completely blocked and on and on But i'm sure it will be done by Tue We have also booked an inspector to go through the house with us. Not long now pics of splashback Re: Switch Homes. WE HAVE A DATE !! 346May 27, 2016 8:09 am Wow Petad, kitchen is looking very flash! Keep on them about the other stuff, just a shame that its a fight sometimes. Re: Switch Homes. WE HAVE A DATE !! 348May 27, 2016 10:54 am Decka Wow Petad, kitchen is looking very flash! Keep on them about the other stuff, just a shame that its a fight sometimes. Thanks Decka I felt a bit bad giving the maintenance guy the list of fixes but i just wanted to make PCI quicker. Unfortunately when they lowered the stackers they are now to low and the flooring will sit above the level of the doors so they are going to put some sort of metal angle for the flooring to butt up aginst. The gas people where there yesterday to connect the gas "again" this time they can't as there is a power point within one meter of the meter box so the power point will have to be moved which means the render and texture coat will have to be patched etc etc . Whoo hoo Re: Switch Homes. WE HAVE A DATE !! 352May 28, 2016 1:03 pm Your splash back is to die for! Our Home Group build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83475 Re: Switch Homes. WE HAVE A DATE !! 353May 28, 2016 4:13 pm Petad JKro Great news! I hope our house is built within 12 months!!!!! It really is all that prework that kills you. Thanks it should be there are plenty of trades around ATM. we had 10 months waiting for the slab to be poured so it's good that they got their act together............... sort of Today they were still trying to get the stacker doors right, that all comes down to the pad not being recessed when it was poured and the SS not being on the ball . The induction hotplate was installed today finally, the splashback is still only half done, range hood to be installed then its just all the fixes. We have booked an inspector to come through the PCI with us. My hubby wants to get an inspector in. Let me know how you go with yours. We are looking for a good referral Ours took 8 months to get to slab from when we decided on Switch but a lot of that was all the builders in our street trying to figure out what the enviro wanted. So once that was sorted and xmas was over it wasnt too bad. Cant wait to get in though! Re: Switch Homes.
