Building Glenelg 27 in Newcastle. 1st July - On Site 3rd December - Handover Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 3327Nov 27, 2014 1:01 pm I have the sapphire inclusions I think it's worth it. I liked the laundry sink having a nicer tub, semi frame shoer and better handles and from memory better benchtops, soft close toilets. Hard to remember as signed up so long ago. For me I wanted the stone bench tops, also in bathrooms. The kitchen is a big area to concentrate on as ur in it so often and so is everyone else when u have parties. Havent been to the ponds to see that particular house. Things to look out for at tender, the biggest thing i would say is if ur land is un registered take out the extra 3 months tender extension if u dont go over it gets refunded. So many developments r going way past promised register dates and u dont want the stress and rush if ur close to expiry. Through admin no matter what builder there's a lot of hoops and delays and things u dont realise need to b done before something else can be organised. Hope this helps. That said Yayy for all you guys Rmjose, It's funny how it all goes 100mph then it's like you came across a brick wall and wham, everything stops at once...lol. I hope that you get to see your house with your SS before you go on your trip. Hopefully by the time you get back, you might have a number of things completed and you will get a nice surprise. Hey Sydney-build....are you alive mate? Haven't heard anything from you since they did your slab....are there any new happenings out your way? Well, I went past our house this morning like I usually do, in hope to see a tradie on site. At 7am, there was no one there. The better half walked the dog at 10 am, still nothing. At 2pm she went past again on her way to work, nope...nothing. I rock up after work about 4 pm, we have tradies.....yay!! Look inside, it's not the brickies....it's the gyprockers. Anyway, I leave them to work and decide to visit after they leave. They left about 6.15pm. I look inside and WOW....half of the house has walls. Couldn't believe my eyes....lol. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 3337Nov 27, 2014 8:16 pm rmjose18 Let me just say I'm bloody jealous mate But gooood stuff!!! Rose, I'm dying to see your mansion when you get some bricks and gyprock. Love seeing other people's pics on the forum as I find words can't always give you a real picture. Hey denot...is your frame up yet? Didn't you say the 19th....well that was 8 days ago? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 3338Nov 27, 2014 9:24 pm @wearemoving... Exciting stuff! I have our tiler booked for Monday... As well as handover. Got the paperwork (no occupation certificate) the bank wanted, so just to wait and see if they process the final payment in time. There was a list of stuff to be fixed from our PCI and if it's not done Monday we won't be handing over anyway. Once you handover, the general consensus is that any repairs can take forever to get done... So we aren't accepting handover til everything is finished. Pretty sure I'll be pushing back all my trades a week... Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 3339Nov 27, 2014 9:34 pm Thank you all can't wait. @Sam0412 I hope all our touch up and so on is done before handover tomorrow, our SS has really worked had to get all trades there for the last 2 weeks. I had no room to push any after handover trades anymore due to the busy Christmas period. Hope you have handover next week. http://buildingourhomekellyville.blogspot.com.au/?m=1 Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 3340Nov 27, 2014 10:02 pm We don't either really... We have one weekend left available to move... And need to get tiles and carpet done. I can prob wait until about Wednesday next week... But if we don't have tiles started by Wednesday... We won't have much hope. Luckily we have Tile Direct doing our floor tiles... So our SS will let them start the morning of handover, maybe before... Maybe. the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6726 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
