The developer has guidelines to place utilities and services at certain positions on the block. Sometimes it is legislation which dictates where things go (in our case, fire hydrants are 400m apart and are to be placed central to the block frontage, where most people have there drive way, duh!). Other times it is the utility who dictate. Hate to be a pessimist, but the developer won't cough (ours won't) and as the land purchaser, it is your responsibility to identify these things before signing. As was so nicely pointed out to us by WC, regardless that there was nothing on site plans, builders survey, council notations etc. Re: Application for relocation/removal of Western Power asse 7Feb 27, 2015 5:46 pm Yeh these developers are very sn ea ky to say the least.
