Septic now starting Monday, water tank and pump on wed, then hopefully plumbing and electrics finish this week depending on the weather gods *keeping fingers crossed* Build thread http://tinyurl.com/llgc7yk Re: Acerage 1st time Building S Highlands *prefab home start 306Jul 28, 2016 5:53 pm Our ridiculously expensive waste water treatment area is in, water tank delivered and lots of plumbing done. Hoping to get everything else done next week so we can get occ cert and bank valuation. Fly screens also went in yesterday! I spent today turfing the mounds for the waste water treatment. I managed just over 100 sqm between kid wrangling (he's obsessed with climbing the stairs so it became a race to see how many rolls I could lay before he crawled to them and climbed up). Still got around 100 sqm to go, then will roll it all and tidy the edges. Been a busy week, hopefully bench tops on vanity and kitchen this weekend, plus I need to tidy up the floors and still need to tile the splashbacks in the kitchen. I finished the turf, hubby got everything ready for the stone, and we got the water tank in position, power cable in position, and did some floor prep. We also did some drainage unrelated to the house. Stone and flooring happening this weekend - we ended up going for a vinyl click in floor, as we feel it will cope well with kids, dogs, cats and general farm life. Plumbing and internal electrics finished today - just waiting for gas and electrical connection at the road and we are all ready for occ cert. I'll get some updated pics tomorrow once I've cleaned up a bit. The floor is covered in mud Bathroom yesterday before plumbing finished - vanity top and splashbacks in Carrara marble. We took the oven and dishwasher to be plumbed in. Super happy with the flooring, not the cheapest option in vinyl, but it's extremely hard wearing Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Build thread http://tinyurl.com/llgc7yk Re: Acerage 1st time Building S Highlands *prefab home start 311Aug 07, 2016 4:09 pm Wow!!! Kitchen looking good, just need to do rangehood, splashbacks, handles, paint the trim, put in the piece below sink and then hang pendants later. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom - still need to do handles and trim around the mirror (we went for a kitchen sink and mixer for the vanity, but different but I think it's a bit farmhouse-y). I'm also going to paint the bathroom a warmer colour even a warmer white, as the tone is too blue I think and makes the tiles look really cream instead of off white.
