Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Nov 17, 2012 4:21 pm Hi there, we are currently choosing paint colour for our bedrooms and after buying 8 sample pots of paint i am still not sure which colour to use. We'd really like a grey colour, one that is a white base. I tried Taubmans Stone Patino but there is a definite purple tinge as was the same with Dulux Musing. Does anyone have advice or used a nice grey colour for internal walls that is a soft modern looking colour? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks. Re: question -which paint colour for bedroom 3Nov 17, 2012 9:02 pm Thanks Liliana, I'll definitely give it a go. Only other option is to go for hog bristle and stay with the neutral scheme, which is similar to what we have now but was going for a change and to go for a more contemporary feel. Re: question -which paint colour for bedroom 4Nov 17, 2012 9:40 pm I just used Ghosting half on all walls with a few features which looks great. It's a warm grey. We use Hog Bristle 1/4 in our investments and love that but wanted something warm but more modern. Re: question -which paint colour for bedroom 5Nov 18, 2012 8:06 am Ive used Dulux Silkwort as featur ein my daughters bedroom. Have decided to go with dulux White Duck Half on majority of walls with Dulux White Duck full for certain areas. Because we needed to choose colours in a hurry, as we are laying floor boards, I haven't chosen a feature wall yet but I can always get the painters back to do this as they are friends of hubby. LeanneR, I love your room colours and the wall art, well done on the great decorating. We are also doing our kitchen which is just awaiting stone bench and glass splashback so once that, the floors, lighting and painting are done I will send through before and after pics. Thanks again all, couldn't have done it without your opinion/advice. Cheers. Re: question -which paint colour for bedroom 11Nov 30, 2012 7:29 pm I love that colour Leanne... Might need to ask you to remind me of it in 6 months.... Looks just like what we what! And maybe there will be a baby to ad to it... Just need a new job Re: question -which paint colour for bedroom 12Dec 01, 2012 6:21 pm Hi All Painting completed today and both hubby and I are really happy with the Dulux White Duck colour that we chose after purchasing a number of other sample pots. it's exactly the grey we were after. its a modern neutral colour that is not too dark, and has no visible hints of purple or green like some greys do. it will make the perfect background for our framed pictures, paintings and mirrors, or wall decals. The following pics are all Dulux White Duck full strenth photo of the bedroom http://imageshack.us/a/img14/2449/img0006yx.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img90/2774/img0005mwt.jpg Photo of the kitchen pantry wall http://imageshack.us/a/img705/7995/img0004ldl.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img405/9569/img0003tv.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img843/7889/img0002rsj.jpg I have done some other walls in Dulux White Duck half so to give it just a slight difference between walls throughout the house but couldn't find a photo where there wasn't any clutter or furniture in front of it to get a good photo. Once everything is back to normal living i will post more pics. Cheers. Re: question -which paint colour for bedroom 13Dec 01, 2012 7:23 pm Very nice! It feels relax to our eyes and mind too.You need not to go for bold paint color. Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7148 Personally, considering your layout (study/work desks in bedrooms), I don't think you have any other option but to leave NW windows and make them as big as possible e.g.… 7 10455 Hi, I'm planning to build a new house and wanted to get some feedback on the different window designs for a master bedroom.
