Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Jul 08, 2023 9:28 am Looking for advice on whether this variation in tile colour is acceptable. The large tile on the left was used in my main bathroom renovation 1 year ago. My ensuite renovation finished about 1 month ago. The same large tile was ordered for the ensuite this year, so is obviously from a different batch. I only used the subway tile in my ensuite as a feature wall. This subway tile is actually the cut down version of the large tile, which is why I chose it - thinking that this would give me the best chance of matching the colour. All three tiles are supposed to be glossy white. But Iām seeing the large tile on the right (used in my ensuite) as being a greyish blue colour. I was expecting to have a slight colour variation similar to what I can see between the large tile on the left (used in my main bathroom) and the white subway tile. I was not expecting the severe colour variation I am seeing in the large tile on the right. Unfortunately, the greyish blue tile colour has also made the white grout look dirty. The first photo of tiles above door painted in Vivid White is in the main bathroom. The second photo of tiles above door (also painted in Vivid White) is from the ensuite. The renovation company has said that this level of variation can be expected and there is nothing that can be done about it. Any advice on this issue from this forum would be much appreciated because I am honestly very disappointed and frustrated with the outcome.
