Must really feel like a home with everything starting to go in. The next few weeks are going to feel so long now you can't walk in.... Re: Simonds Sierra in SA - Kitchen next week! 950Aug 21, 2014 9:48 am MyH1Login Oh wow! I hardly see any 820x2340 main entry doors, so when I saw this was your selection I felt so much relief (1) someone like deluxes actually chose a door same size as us and (2) happy that the trend of gigantic doors isn't as prominent, or so it seems We have two sides instead of one, so we could have fit a 1200 wide door, but chose to go for 820, something different Will it be stained or painted deluxes? Ahaha thankyou! We still see lots of the standard 820 x 2140 over here... the 1200 pivot doors are coming in though, bit slower over here! haha But we really didn't see modifying that space, increased cost for the door as something we wanted to spend $$ on. We've heightened all our doors to 2340, so we just thought that and the sidelight would give us the look we wanted I think you'll be fine! It'll be stained in Cedar to match the windows and the strapping/slats above the door and above the windows Marc_Woody What an impressive door, Mr Deluxes has good taste! Must really feel like a home with everything starting to go in. The next few weeks are going to feel so long now you can't walk in.... Don't tell him that Marc! He'll want to make more decisions then... It is feeling much more complete now, I will miss walking around in there, but we have some opportunities to get in there over the next few weeks... so I'll just try and focus on that! And... checking on what my neighbours builds are doing and reporting to them! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Happy, but sad our run of wandering around in there has come to an end Progress yesterday and today, doors were delivered and hung (all our internal ones are up as well, we saw them through the window) architraves and skirtings are delivered and inside, some are propped up and half in... Downpipes are on, and all in the right spot Wardrobe doors have also been hung, kitchen gets delivered on Friday!!!! What a good few days!! More progress! Oh dear, the awkward lockout! A necessary evil. The up shot is your door looks great It looks deceptively thin due to the internal glass and edge - bit of a mind trip! The side light is a great idea, will really brighten it up on the inside! Any movement on the tiling? You got the waterproofing down last week, so I'd anticipate them just about finishing that now Pretty exciting with the wardrobes already going in, what about laundry cupboards/other storage? Maybe I'm finally anticipating too much from your progress updates! At least we're now finally coming in to some good weather, not that I want to jinx it but as of next week the forecast is fantastic.. paints will dry in no time Re: Simonds Sierra in SA - Kitchen next week! 953Aug 21, 2014 11:30 am Oh lock up is very bittersweet. Nice door, I don't see this design much. Looks good! I know they are finishing off the skirtings and architraves this week, kitchen is being delivered tomorrow and installed on Monday. The linen cupboard doors are on. but the fit outs/shelves wont come till later, same with the wardrobe shelves... just the actual doors at this point I would assume it's not far behind. We get updates every Friday as to what is happening the next week, so I guess i'll know more tomorrow! Thanks StephyD This is the INF5VG from Corinthian. Well it does have a better timber to glass ratio, I can see his point.
