Our update last August was that they should be titled in April (instead of last November) emailed a fortnight ago questioning progress as there's no work started on the pump site that's holding up the sewer design for our release. Reply was that we should have an update by the end of February. So I need to email again, but I've had a bit going on this week. I'm almost too scared to ask, I had a dream last night it was October and I fear it may be true! I hear you Wellard2ndTmers. I feel that all land developers should compensate us for not keeping their word. I totally understand that there is always delay but it is better for them to have a closer estimate time frame than an unrealistic one to begin with. Again, when we put down the deposit, Jordan told us that delay of title is unusual. Here you go, ours were delayed three times! And still have drama after the land was titled. The land just sat there for another 2 months while PEET and council tried to resolve their disagreement. Thanks goodness that we decided not to settle the land until that's resolved or else would have been paying mortgage on an empty land. In the end, we all got hit by the extra cost on storage requirement. Glad that the noise insulation requirement was abandoned due to high cost ($15k+!) for implementing it. They must be joking about forcing everyone to have the storage on a 225sqm--298sqm size of land. Each delay costs us more $. Why aren't we protected by the industry somehow? Can you ask PEET if there is any titled land that you can swap with your block? I know that they are running surplus at the moment with land sale and someone from a different estate was able to do that with a different developer. After all, it isn't your fault. Sorry to hijack sinurt - Sofia, we're in the Bellingham release, Mum's block a couple of neighbours down is the Promenade release (I think), we're near Somerford Park. They've done the first few blocks in Coleford Road but that's it for our area. It is really disheartening seeing them move so fast through other parts of the estate when ours is just sitting there. My husband made a good point, if they couldn't sell any more blocks until this was resolved it would've been done months ago! We did consider swapping blocks if possible, but the one we've committed to is 569 sqm but 20.76mm wide, so fits a triple garage no worries. Our plans have all been drawn specifically for our block so to re-jig now would cause delays and more costs with our builder. We're too far into to muck about with things now. When do you hope for them to start your place? Anyway the Construction manager did phone the OH today and basically said, in a round about way, that they have until Oct to finish BUT that it shouldn't take that long!! Apparently the next lot of jobs are all booked and roof will be completed this week with tiles coming next week. Drove by the site this evening and we finally have a bit of a roof started!!!! So we shall see how it goes.....!!! On the plus side, we got talking to another one of our neighbours and he seemed really nice Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - finally roof start 215Mar 09, 2015 10:46 pm how do they have until oct??? that's over a year in contruction and isnt the contract for less than a year for build time? The contract is usually says something like 350 days or similar - but you need to remember that is working days only! So it takes it to well over a year they are allowed... ridiculous really!! My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Commodore Homes Build in Wellard WA - finally roof start 220Mar 10, 2015 1:36 pm I went passed the house build by commodore, everyday to check on the progress of my block. Man they are slow 2 weeks and they only have 3 sides on the external wall. This bring back the memories when my mum and dad built with statement homes slow shocking quality of work manship. Apparently Statement homes and commodore home are belong to BGC, maybe the same people working for statement homes now working for Commomdore.
