Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 603Nov 05, 2013 10:18 am Painting now finished and we managed to see everything uncovered, I was a little disappointed at the state of the house, it was filthy I know it's still a construction site but dirty new tiles is not cool!
Front door painted Dune Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We are rendering our portico after handover now to decide what colour?? I'm thinking Dune maybe double strength? Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 606Nov 05, 2013 11:19 am Front door and ensuite look great. Intrigued by "painted our ceilings a bit weird"--looking forward to photo. Dune render will match the door and should look lovely. Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 607Nov 05, 2013 12:30 pm I love the ensuite cabinets!! Wish I'd done a silk woodgrain but oh well! Cant believe how different the bricks look in that photo of the door They look SO light! compared to your other pic We picked the same bricks I think dune render will look great as a highlight and will tie in your fascia and roller door really well Siteworks 8/11 Slabbed 19/11 Our Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65703 Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 608Nov 05, 2013 5:27 pm The bricks look light or dark depending on which angle the sun shines on them Davelle, the front of the house looks really dark in the morning and light in the afternoon! Lucinda now to try and get in again to take a photo, the windows are SO dirty a shot from the outside is impossible! Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 609Nov 05, 2013 7:58 pm Looking good! Nice basins and mixer in en suite bathroom Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 610Nov 07, 2013 3:43 pm looks nice, i wish we had of gone white benchtops in the bathrooms instead of black :/ Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 611Nov 07, 2013 4:18 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So this is the painters artistic impression on our bulk head. I assumed because we asked for ceilings to be white above the cornice would all be white...not so! It cuts the room off the way he has done it and ruins the effect.
Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 613Nov 07, 2013 4:41 pm My drop bulk head in the kitchen has wall colour on edge then white cornice but this situation to me is the reverse so should be white. Now to convince our supervisor it needs fixing Re: (SA) Building with Fairmont Homes-Tiling finished 616Nov 07, 2013 6:01 pm Dropped bulkhead in kitchen... fine Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Dropped bulk head as a feature around the room. Not so fine. Worse comes to worse it is a small area to paint white. Still I'm sure your supervisor will see sense. What has he done on your kitchen bulkhead?
