Browse Forums Safer Living 1 Aug 29, 2009 1:24 pm Hi All, On Tuesday we had an alarm system installed.. It is a hills product with 3 sensors, internal screamer, external siren and strobe, keypad and 2 remote fobs. Very happy with the install. And if you are looking at getting an alarm installed I can certainly recommend Nathan from Smart Wiring Australia (http://www.smartwiringaustralia.com.au/). And it was an unbelievable price.. Fully installed $785.. I have seen others post on here with the same system and being charged $1600!! So if you were thinking about breaking into my house!! Think again!! Anyway here is some pics... (I do love my gadgets...) http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP4007.jpg external strobe and siren.. it flashes and makes a noise when you arm and disarm the alarm via the remote keypad.. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP4006.jpg keypad, which I will probably never use.. I guess it is handy incase the remote keypad's battery goes flat.. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP4001.jpg handy little keychain remote.. so you don't have to enter your pin to turn off the alarm.. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP4004.jpg PIR http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP3999.jpg internal screamer http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP4025.jpg Re: Review of Hills Alarm System installed by Smart Wiring Aust. 2Aug 29, 2009 4:07 pm Great to hear WBA - maybe should put a foot note of the talking salesman though That's why we couldn't charge by the hour - it would cost a fortune, best to supply great products at great prices. Melissa Re: Review of Hills Alarm System installed by Smart Wiring Aust. 3Oct 08, 2009 2:25 pm Hi WBA Thanks for the review hoping you have not had reason to use it. I am looking at a Ness alarm system and my alarm guy uses digitech sensors, saying they are better then the Ness one's. So my question is are you using the Ness PIR sensors and have you had any false alarms with it. I would like to keep the one company products with the system. I would also be covered better with warranty issues. Thanks Michael He wants a dream home theatre - she wants a dream kitchen! Cheers, Andy Re: Review of Hills Alarm System installed by Smart Wiring Aust. 5Nov 09, 2009 8:56 pm are they easy to install? is everything wireless or do they have to put in new electricals? about to finalize my electricals and was wondering if doing the security with my builder or just after the build... thanks.
