Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5561Nov 08, 2013 5:25 pm Hello, Has anyone done landscaping by yourself? I am wondering how you did the backyard drainage. I can see one big pipe(looks like what so called pop up emitter) at my back yard away from my house. It pops up about half metre from the ground. Is this suppose to be high up like this or at the same level as the ground after turf being layed. For the backyard drainage, did you guys hire plumbers? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5562Nov 08, 2013 10:10 pm This pipe could be drainage or if it was like our place, it could be a second sewer connection. We had a pipe sticking out of the ground over 1m high. We called Sydney Water and Investa who both claimed it was not their pipe. 2 years later we now know it is a second sewer connection. It could be either. Just ask the builder to be sure. For all your joinery needs, we custom build kitchens, office, wardrobes, garage, laundry fit outs plus TV units, pantry, linen and everything in between. PM me for more info or details. Also, with fixing the layback thing, mine needs to be changed .5m, wisdom said they need to charge me a minimum of 1m. Can you please let me know if this is the same for you and how much you have been charged! Feel free to PM me!! Oh, and while I'm at it, how much would soil removal be?? With my neighbour at the rear: have emailed 3 times, no response. Called a few times, no response after leaving voice mail. Even tried SMS and no response. So I put up the fence anyway (their build is taking forever - they've been stuck on half bricks done for two months) and I'll just hit them up when they move in. "Hey neighbour! Welcome! Give me $600 thanks, just like I've been asking for the last 5 months". Pawer Can anyone recommend concreter ? im thinking to concrete half backyard. I used a bloke called Joe from "Let's Dig". He did my driveway (though it was via Wisdom Homes for over 6k) however did my pathway down the side for just over 2.5k (privately). He also does excavation. Really good work though IMHO. ... and I've had my mate install some downlights which look awesome, so his number is 0423520555 (Peter) and tell him Kieran gave you his number. Hi Kieran - in my case my neighbour had install a fence without contacting us when we hv moved in before them! But they hv breach their land contract building a fence on the easement. We told them we want that part of the fence taken down but they hv been avoiding us! Now we're looking into taking it to community justice centre. Just wondering if anyone has to go that far. What a luck, out of all these houses we hv this neighbour! Is your mate Peter is an electrician? We could use one for our place Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5573Nov 11, 2013 1:47 pm zRoYz, I had meet lot 4427 Conlon Ave neighbor before, very likely they are not in this forum. May be you have to contact them through the builder. The street at the back of Conlon Ave is still in progress of sales by Investa. How do I share the cost with the neighbor at the back? Shall I build the fence first? Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5574Nov 11, 2013 5:05 pm Hi all Keys this Friday. Shall I build the fence first? Unfortunately because we don't have anyone building there which will be awhile as land not even register yet the cost of that fence can't be shared. Unless your able to find out blocks owner & there willing to front the cost before they even build or there nice & enquire later about paying for fence already there. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5576Nov 15, 2013 8:57 pm Hey is anyone looking for a black female Staffy mid size dog? There is one must have got out of a back yard. Re: Anyone building at George's Fair, Moorebank? 5577Nov 16, 2013 1:15 am Raining again.. my roofing has delayed last week probably due to rain and it rains again. Hope it does not affect the frame and floor board. Do contractors normally wait until frames/floor boards completely dry before installing the roof?
