But now a days many thread saying and advice to build your house by your own (Means to engage your own contractor and all ), I would like to know if anyone here has done such a wonderful job by their own and what is advantage and disadvantage in that. Basically if you have no building experience you will waste your time doing OB as engaging a builder will in all likelihood be faster and cheaper/the same/slightly more. By being an OB you effectively become the site supervisor and unless you can devote the time to be there everyday you may face problems.
