G'day all,
Just about to head into OC with the council, however doing pre checks and realised these two requirements;
The applicant must install the following exhaust systems in the development:
At least 1 Bathroom: no mechanical ventilation (ie. natural); Operation control: n/a (got window) + 3 in 1 light heaters.
Kitchen: individual fan, not ducted; Operation control: manual switch on/off (only rangehood / open living area )
Laundry: individual fan, not ducted; Operation control: manual switch on/off (only an external door)
I am concerned about the laundry part as we totally forgot about putting in a ducting fan of any sort, relying on the external door.. What does the definition mean? as it is stating not ducted... what type of individual fan do they mean and any examples of these? pls provide and I will look into this.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: just came across this on bunnings website

This will be the cheapest fix as it does not require electrical wiring, would this keep us out of trouble to satisfy BASIX?
