Latest update..... I installed the flashing round the perimeter of the house for the cladding to sit on. My number one concern is keeping water out of the house, so there was a lot of flashing (oo-er missus) - [ img ]The front door and other exterior doors are in - [ img ]and everything was ready for the cladders to start work. Soon the garage was filled with cladding panels - [ img ]and the scaffolding went up and the cladders started work. [ img ]They flashed off round all the exterior windows and doors, and the detail round the windows is pretty good, with a fall for drainage - [ img ]Meanwhile on the inside of the house I was busy fitting the ducted vac. If anyone is thinking of doing this themselves, it takes one day, it's pretty easy but you are up and down stepladders 1 million times - [ img ]The cladders completed the whole house within 1 week, and we were at that point pretty much watertight. - [ img ][ img ][ img ]I also cut a hole for the cat flap. Please note this is not an actual cat looking through the hole, it is the picture on the cat flap box! [ img ]Next job - rendering!

Ah full scaffolding...its not cheap is it I probably only had half what you've got and boy did the bill hurt! I still walk around the house looking at the walls thinking, I'm going to be living in a giant esky! If only I could afford to fill it with booze Looks like they did a good job around the windows too. I didn't get as much of an angle but no issues after all the rain we've had. Make sure the renderers aren't in a hurry to get the colour on after doing the base render. Apparently it can bleed through the colour if not fully dry.

It is entirely dependant on the weather. If it doesn't rain and its nice and windy it should be ok. But might be safer to let it go a few more days? My guy had a few jobs on so it worked out well that he didn't come back for the colour until about 10 days later.

Hi JB,
Great pics so far.
We have just begun (plans and surveys) our OB project and the lovely wife insists on ducted vac. Can you please advise what brand / where you purchased and if possible how I estimate costs?
Thanks and well done again!
Tony.

Tony. Auskay in Dandenong. They sell to trade only but if you drop in they will sort you out. Total including all the fittings was about $1100, we will get some back as we bought many more fittings than we needed. JB

Hey JB, good work, based on your recomendations went with Masterwall, good price however I am putting it on myself, might take a little longer but will save a few $$
Quick question, what did they use under the windo sills and above doors, do you mind taking a couple of snaps and close ups of these details, I have the manual but i am a very visual person.
Cheers

hunts Mate, I actually don't know what they used - I think it was really sticky flashing tape. You can't see whatever it was now because of the render. The renderers have done a great job and I am happy to recommend them - ring up Masterwall and ask to get Brian's team to do the rendering. JB
