Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 625May 09, 2014 6:49 pm Ok so dragged DH off on one of our last Fridays off to the Western Suburbs for some interior design shopping. DH like most men says I don't care you do what you want and then when I make a decision hates it
King furniture at the moment has a sale with things up to 50% off until Sunday I've never seen it before but I have fallen in love. It's comfortable, modular and you can move the book cases etc around to where ever you want them and also turns into a bed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Anyway we drove and checked into most shops along stirling highway - including a shop where they tried to sell us an outdoor chair that cost $1100 each!!!!!! I mean it was a nice chair but when you think that you would need at least six of then and a plastic one from bunnings probably only costs $5!!!!! Stopped for lunch at the beach club at Cottesloe - don't bother $35 for three scallop shells each one containing one small scallop and two small prawns ......I had to order fries afterwards Anyway final photo of the lamp DH found and bought at Kings Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It has a marble base and looks quite cool - sometimes DH has a good eye Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 626May 09, 2014 6:52 pm Gorgeous lamp Did you buy the sofa, it looks very comfy. Was it horribly expensive? Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 631May 09, 2014 9:17 pm Hi Trixee It was surprisingly ok - with the sale the lounges come in at about $5950 but that is in leather for fabric it drops down to three something (unfortunate I can't do fabric due to the pets, child and my own general clumsiness ) Below is a picture of the card showing how the modules work the sides, shelf, bookshelf can all be moved around really easily Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The lamp was - gulp $780 but DH picked it Cheers Akb Ps thanks for the tip re the Blum test kitchen - that's our second last Friday off job Pps love your blog viewtopic.php?t=62083 Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 632May 09, 2014 9:26 pm Fancy lounge. And your DH made a very good choice allowing you to buy the lamp, very swish. Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 633May 09, 2014 9:28 pm Thanks owf but the lamp had nothing to do with me it was completly DH. To be honest he was yeah it's a nice comfortable lounge until he saw how it actually worked and then he came on board with it viewtopic.php?t=62083 Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 634May 09, 2014 9:48 pm D'Oh! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 637May 10, 2014 1:38 am The lounge looks great! I've been wanting to check out Kings but was worried the prices might be a bit too scary but that seems pretty reasonable Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 638May 10, 2014 10:10 am Cheers Tracy And MLB without the sale the lounge was just under $10k. I probably would off ended up with it eventually just not ordered it today. I'm really particular about lounges since I've had that experience with the leather one from freedom (over $7k and thrown out in under 5 years) it's true I got a partial credit but I still have over $3k there left to spend and am struggling to spend it. We are currently using our old chesterfield that I paid about $9k for 15 years ago. So with lounges I have learnt it's about the manufacturer viewtopic.php?t=62083 Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 639May 10, 2014 11:12 am AKB Hi Trixee It was surprisingly ok - with the sale the lounges come in at about $5950 but that is in leather for fabric it drops down to three something (unfortunate I can't do fabric due to the pets, child and my own general clumsiness ) Below is a picture of the card showing how the modules work the sides, shelf, bookshelf can all be moved around really easily Ps thanks for the tip re the Blum test kitchen - that's our second last Friday off job Pps love your blog I'm all for leather since I had a fabric couch that my dog was obsessed with rubbing himself against and I could never get the hair off! I costed a custom leather sofa from Gascoigne once and it came to around 10K, so the Kings one sounds good. Love the flexibility of the Jasper, a bit unfortunate that we're not buying right now but will definitely keep it in mind. I hope they have a sale on when we eventually get around to buying! Hope you find the Blum test kitchen worthwhile, let me know how it goes Glad you like the blog Re: Perth NOR OB on 5 Acres - Ceiling painting begins :-) :- 640May 10, 2014 1:48 pm AKB I still have over $3k there left to spend and am struggling to spend it.
