This http://www.kwikset.com/kevo/default
i was going to buy one of these but I haven't seen many good reviews on them
My dad has one of these... they aren't all that good, I fact they are shocking... it doesn't have an Auto lock option, it has quite a large latency period between approaching your door and it opening, it is loud and just very mechanical.... I currently use the August Smart lock http://www.August.com I have the HomeKit enabled one and it works a treat!!! You can't buy it from the website but you can get it from amazon... I would suggest also getting the keypad and the connect add on. The connect allows you to connect to it anywhere in the world (something the Kwikset won't do because they don't have "any of the internet connectors available in Australia") and the keypad allows you to give any one a code and allow access... Imho: I wouldn't buy a lock just because it is compatible with a doorbell... the option to unlock your door from the app is convenient however how often would you open your door for a stranger at who rings your doorbell... at this stage of technology it's more about what works better and the August works much better than the kevo however that is just my opinion. Also over the weekend I bought the August Doorbell Cam ($149 US, down from $199) which I will install in the new house. As mentioned you can open the door lock from anywhere in the world if needed if you have the August Connect or Doorbell Cam linked to the lock. The lock didnt open once, but it was an app issue and I just reinstalled the app and all good again. Re: Home Technology Hub 250Nov 27, 2016 9:40 am Went to the new build the other day and all the tv and data points have been installed. Very happy with the install and also gives me the option to add 2 more inputs to distribute video through the house. Thinking of ways to get my NVR to play on all tvs through this. May just install Tiny Cam Pro for all my android boxes for evey tv in the house to access the camera's though; still weighing up options. Just trying to hold for another 2 months if there is any upgraded version is coming out... The product description stated 11.5watt down light dimmable with external driver 240V AC. When I check the specification, it stated LED power 9watt and Luminaire Power 11.5 So is this product a 9 Watt or 11.5 watt LED down light? https://www.green-lighting.com.au/austr ... 40v-a.html Re: Home Technology Hub 256Nov 28, 2016 10:25 pm Hi Vintay, Luminaire Power is a comparison of the light efficiency emitted from the globe. In this case the manufacturer specifies the LED usage is 9W but it emits light equivalent to a 11.5W light. It's another way of saying it emits the same amount of light as a higher spec light. Whether there claim is true or not you will have to test there LED (9W) against another 11.5W so tell the difference. Hope this helps. @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Home Technology Hub 257Nov 28, 2016 11:49 pm Orpheus Hi Vintay, Luminaire Power is a comparison of the light efficiency emitted from the globe.
