Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Apr 05, 2015 5:30 pm Just wondering if there is some difference between these cables (Apart from colour)? The Yellow or Green are priced at $175.37 each while the Blue or Grey are $153.60 each. I know most cables I have seen are Blue but is there a reason? http://www.4cabling.com.au/cat-6-lan-ca ... ellow.html http://www.4cabling.com.au/cat-6-lan-ca ... -blue.html Cheers, Paul (& Lisa) Parkhill 36 by ClarendonHomes in Coomera Retreat H1 Build Thread And Blog Building Blogs List - Go Ahead And Add Yours!! Re: Are these Network Cables The Same?? 2Apr 05, 2015 6:00 pm Yes, they are electrically the same. The difference in price is simply the lower volume for yellow sheathed cable - Blue and grey are the most commonly used colours, and because of the greater volume the price is lower. Interestingly I now see that that their cat6 is cheaper than their Cat5E which probably means they are selling more Cat6 than 5e these days. Your cabler can probably get a better price from the local wholesaler though - particularly once you include shipping.
