projector ceiling mount, distance in new room

guys, our theatre room is 4.7mt length, with a black wall for the screen at the moment.

im thinking of initially just getting the benq w1060, as i have no idea how much we will use it,

we are getting the builder to install a hdmi, data and power cable in the ceiling for connection to the projector.

at approx what distance from the wall back should we get then to terminate the cables?

It depends on the screen size that you want. The closer the better (brighter).

dont know whether to go for the benq 1060 or the epson tw3200

i know nothing about projectors, we just want to spend around 1000.00 for our home theatre room,

I haven't used either projector, but the fundamental difference is that the Benq uses a DLP chip while the Epson uses LCD panels. As a result the Benq is slightly brighter, but DLP chips can give a 'rainbow' effect - some people really notice this while others don't.

The Epson is probably going to be about $300 or so over your budget...
