hi h1 members,

Has anyone manage to talk to the electricians during rough in about adding extra power/lighting adhoc?

Reason i ask is i reckon it would be much cheaper if i just gave them some money on the side to add another days work.

The prices the office charge vs actual costs vary greatly and id be happier if the money went to the actual guys wiring stuff...

Otherwise im gonna have to put pull throughs everywhere and do it post handover.

Thanks!

Hi,

We got the sparkies details & had a quiet chat with them for the real electrical plan on a prev build & they were happy to supply a quote (15 year ago)

Had a chat to the sparkies (@ electrical appointment & onsite) on our EB build last year but they turned us down flat.

Went with plan B & got an independent sparkie after we moved in to finish our power & data needs.

With the permission of our SS (he gave us the electricians details) we contacted the electrician and added 2 additional tv points, 2 additional powerpoints (should have added 4 though) and 3 external lights.
