I haven't heard of this unit. I wonder what level of integration/compatibility is needed for the Insteon? I can see they have light bulbs, relays and timers to control things. @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Home Technology Hub 26Jun 14, 2016 10:32 pm There are plenty more options in the US also. Re: Home Technology Hub 32Jun 20, 2016 2:53 pm Hi Guys...need some suggestion. I am installing home theater in the media room with projector and extra speaker in the ceiling for atmos effect. But I also asked M to pre wire for two speakers in outdoor room and couple in bedroom. I like to link all of them to home theater system in media room. Can you please suggest what I need to install to play speakers in different zones? How can I zone them so if I want to play only outdoor room speakers or bedroom speakers? Can you please suggest what I need to install to play speakers in different zones? How can I zone them so if I want to play only outdoor room speakers or bedroom speakers? Hi Vikas, you have a good question and a tough one to answer. A few questions/notes to consider: 1. Are you going wired or wireless speakers? This will determine the reachability for the sound and any prewiring if any is required. 2. Are you planning on getting a multiform audio hub? There are various multiform audio hubs out there to control audio inputs sources and numerous outputs for playing audio in different rooms etc. 3. Depends how you configure your home theatre system as it has limitations for controlling different channels to the speakers. Typically home theatre systems can only output one audio source at a time. So if u want to watch a movie in the theatre room and listen to music for the outdoor room then you can't. Hope that helps. @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Home Technology Hub 34Jun 20, 2016 6:31 pm I'd suggest keeping the two seperate. I use Sonos for bedroom, outdoor, dining and kitchen. I also have a ZP80 connected to the home theatre amp to allow me to sync all the rooms. Using my LG-G4 to bring you this update. It will do the job if that's yr desired intention. However it prob won't be able to play multiple sources at the same time. @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Home Technology Hub 37Jun 20, 2016 7:37 pm Thanks Orph, I was thinking that if I want the outdoor speakers on the I chose one section and if I wanted to switch to indoors then I would choose that section. Simple set up with sound supplied by one source in home theatre room. I also have Sony wireless speakers for another alternative.
