Hi, my husband and I are building The Wellstead with Blueprint homes in WA. We have been very unhappy with our experience so far as many things we have been told by the salesperson have not happened. We were told that after prestart, the slab would go down after 3 weeks, it is 7 weeks later now and we have been told slab is still 3 weeks away! This is one of many dissapointments so far and a friend of ours who works for Summit advised us to call them and "kick up a fuss" to get their attention and to prioritise it. Do you think we have a right to complain and would it make much difference? is this kind of thing to be expected when you build and should we just "suck it up"?

It depends on the reasons, has there been bad weather or forecasts of bad weather?
If it's due to total laziness then you should be able to ring and ask to please explain! I've always tried to be nice to our csc so far, but most of the time I only get info when I ask for it! We are currently waiting for site start.

it hasnt been due to the weather, just things like getting building permits...which would be fine if we were told this from the start. We feel like its never going to happen!! Do I have to get angry to get their attention!?! I hate to do that but it gets results!!

To get their attention it helps to write a formal letter rather than a phone call. You are in a formal contract so having evidence of non performance is important.
