Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 06, 2017 11:15 am Hi, I've seen this conversation about what is the best place to install the internal NBN box (viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75145) but one thing that is not clear to me is whether hot Brisbane summers can affect the NBN devices. My house is being built in Brisbane and at the moment the internal NBN box is meant to be installed in the garage very close to the garage door (ColorBond) that is facing West. I can imagine that the temperature can easily reach +40C there. Anybody has similar setup? Does it cause any problems? Thanks! You might experience slow internet in extremely hot days or might not even notice anything at all but the lifespan of the device will shorten. Check at the back of the device for the model and research what heat it can sustain.
