Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 13, 2016 2:18 pm Hi everyone!!! I have been trying very hard to find if anyone out there has build or are building the Bolton with Simonds Home? I know they have added heaps of extra on the display home at craigeburn and we really want to know how it would look like if we keep it standard. We really like the walk in robe in all rooms and the kitchen and dinning area. Any chance anyone out there can show me how the standard bolton looks like? Thank you!!! Re: Bolton Simonds Home 2Dec 13, 2016 3:57 pm Hi, I'm pretty sure there is a Bolton thread on here, it's a lovely home. I'm not sure what upgrades have been added but you should be able to find the thread pretty easily Re: Bolton Simonds Home 3Dec 13, 2016 7:51 pm Let me say, it wouldn't look anything like the display. First off, it has the very high ceiling in the kitchen ($10k option), it was a butler's pantry, stone all round, oven/microwave is up in the cabinetry and not a one piece, it has standalone bath tubs which are $1300 a piece, the tiles in the bathroom/ensuite go right up to the roof, which again is $1000 per wall i believe. Remove all of this and the Bolton is quite standard... the flooring was standard, which I liked, but that was it. There's also fireplace which isn't standard and a sky light.. They don't even give you an alfresco for the price.. there's a lot better equity building floor plans out there for the same price.. that's my opinion anyway. Re: Bolton Simonds Home 6Dec 14, 2016 7:48 am andyboiii oh and I might also add, the windows above the sliding doors on the extended ceiling are not standard either.... and either are those big sliding doors.. andyboiii Let me say, it wouldn't look anything like the display. Hi Again Andyboiii, I know what you meant. We were very lucky to have James who helped us get free stone kitchen bench top, got a standalone bath tub for $400, we were told that the windows above the sliding door on the extended ceiling were standard(I shall confirm with James again). We manage to get the 3 door sliding instead of a 2 door for a pretty good price too. Not only that James manage to lower our site cost by 10k just by modifying the garage to 2 steps instead of 1. Would have love if they could add alfresco into the standard plan. Hi TomCat, It is a very pretty display house. Hahaha. Not sure if we can achieve what they have in the display house but we really like how there is walk in robe in all rooms and 30+ sq which is pretty spacious for just myself and my partner. I know the standard sliding door is the 2 door but was given the option to upgrade to 3 and the window on the top is complimentary. My partner has just check the plan. The window is complimentary. We were so glad that we could save 10k just for another step in the garage. LOL Re: Bolton Simonds Home 12Jan 22, 2017 12:09 pm Hi, How much the total price you ended up. And what all inclusions in. I am also interested in Bolton so interested to hear about. Thanks Re: Bolton Simonds Home 13Jan 25, 2017 8:43 am mauricejmj Hi, How much the total price you ended up. And what all inclusions in. I am also interested in Bolton so interested to hear about. Thanks Hey mauricejmj, We have made quite a bit of chances and adding quite a bit of upgrades. Currently on construction it will be about $280k. We are heading to the gallery on 8th of Feb so will be able to finally the price. Not sure if that helps. Are you thinking of building Bolton too? We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds.
