Yay for frames!

Btw, were your soakwells included in your build? Or are you doing them after handover?

I wanted to trust your prediction; but I didn't want to get my hopes up! It's gone up so fast it seems surreal.

I'm sorry they left your air con on :(

Wow! Aren't you lucky?

No such luck with my place. Hopefully next week they'll be back on site and finishing off the painting.

Love your plans and selections. Shaping up to be a beautiful house. :) All the best.

(Also I must say WA builds always make me smile... all that sand, we have soil here mostly in VIC, much darker)

Rosemi, hopefully they'll be back to yours this week! You're so close!! I like your landscaping plans.
Aloenyx, thanks for visiting :) it's nothing extravagant, but it's enough for us.
Bordeaux, thank you! They don't do the garage grano until later. Not sure why, but from what I've seen it's closer to the end.

CLO has said that we are looking to have the roof finished ASAP, with the conduits, ect being installed by 13 Jan.

Should start a betting ring for completion times... definitely can't complain so far.

Loving it!

They do things differently over your way :-) and don't say "it's nothing extravagant" it's your home, your castle. So what if it's only this big, or this wide or this high, blah blah lol. You and your other half are the ones living in it, pick what works for the block and importantly what works for you. From what I can see it is working perfectly. ENJOY IT! :-) ;-)

Looks great El17, seems like they're flying along. Our slab went down the week before Christmas and now we're waiting for work to resume now the holidays are over. Love your kitchen backsplash also, looks gorgeous!

Thanks, everyone :) it has been very quick so far - bit spoilt, actually.

No that we've had - god forbid - a week or so without work, I'm like - what's happening?! But they'll be back at it in no time.

Bordeaux, thank you <3 must keep reminding myself to enjoy it :) so easy to get caught up im the process!
MrsDoe, thanks, I'm in love with the splashback too. Hopefully your bricks start this week!

So by way of update, we had our Plate Height meeting yesterday... with a new site supervisor, and we have a new client liaison! Nothing like a complete change part way through the build. Hopefully handover is done properly and nothing falls through the cracks.

Apparently our roof frame isn't finished because the roofie is in Bali and the new SS wasn't aware of that. Lots booked in next week that requires roof frame completion, so he better be back at it tomorrow!

Otherwise, SS seemed nice and knowledgable about the industry. Good to know.

We are just in a small holding pattern at the moment... hardest part of this process is the lack of control. As long as all continues as it has been, we'll stay happy.

Bummer about the change in ss & clo. I wonder why they changed. My ss & clo have remained the same fortunately.

Big bummer about the roofie too. However that seems to be a pattern; the tradie(s) does part of the work, goes away, then comes back several dsys later to finish the job. It's happened a few times with my build. Mof the painters are yet to come back & finish off a couple of jobs before my pc inspection next week. I've got a feeling that won't happen - and i'm gonna need a Big box of sticker dots at my pci.

Anyway, hope your build continues smoothly with your new ss & clo.
