Browse Forums Building A New House Henley - Building the Sahara Lux Q1 221Mar 13, 2017 3:15 pm I looked at Fairhaven, Arden, PD and Carlilse. I couldn't find a plan I liked with Carlilse or Fairhaven but I loved the quality. My preference was Arden but it was over budget. I found a design I loved at PD but didn't like that you had to go to tender before colour selections. I didn't want to sign anything without accurate costings. The sales person from PD rang me at least twice a week to check in which I found to be a bit pushy. Have you been to WOS yet? I found Henley's standard inclusions to be much better than PD. The PD display homes are beautiful but everything is upgraded, the base prices are attractive but you need to spend at least $100k to get it looking good. I only left my deposit on 30th Nov and I'm already waiting for permits. I made it clear to my SC that I was in a hurry and didn't want to waste time after switching builders. Have you let your SC know you are seriously thinking of switching? Fingers crossed for an admin this week, hopefully you get mine when I move to construction in the next few weeks. Her name is Kayla and she has been amazing. Re: Henley - Building the Sahara Lux Q1 222Mar 13, 2017 6:53 pm cant decide I looked at Fairhaven, Arden, PD and Carlilse. So looks like we will have to wait and that means we might be able to save up a little bit while we wait but it will be hard to do it while paying rent, land and then waiting for the build to begin, but I guess we will see how go Lol you should email Kayla and ask her to take our file haha!! I want a good one!! We are meant to have an admin sometime this week or next week Re: Henley - Building the Sahara Lux Q1 223Mar 13, 2017 6:54 pm cant decide I looked at Fairhaven, Arden, PD and Carlilse. Everything adds up so quickly, I did a post build budget and I'm going to need at least 30-40k to finish it off , that doesn't include furniture and I only have 400sqm block. Well we have discussed it a little further last night and we will most likely stay with Henley however we will be applying some more pressure on them to assign as an admin so that we can start to get the ball rolling a little bit more. Re: Henley - Building the Sahara Lux Q1 226Mar 23, 2017 9:18 am So much has happened! We moved out of our house on the weekend and official handover/settlement to th buyers happens at midday today! Our rental is in a black spot and we have no internet, phone reception, or landline! It's horrible so the nbn needs to hurry up as it has been delayed However good news is our land release is done other then top soiling, so compliance is under way then titles! So I am thinking titles will be somewhere in the first week of June at this pace unless they decide to hold it back! Our block will be titling in around 8 weeks and well Henley just don't care! We are over the bloody moon. Yippee!!!! Re: Henley - Building the Sahara Lux Q1 234Mar 29, 2017 2:02 pm If you could, it might well be worth it to book an appointment for everything now i.e. coulours, tender, contract, and electricals. Coz those appointment slots get filled up pretty quick. Like what happened to us. We have tender on 3rd of April and because we hadn't book our electrical earlier, we're now having it on the 4th of May. Our land was supposed to title end of March but has been delayed and now looking to be end of April. I'm just hoping our schedule works it's self out eventually. We bought our patch of dirt back in september and it was just a pile of dirt! And it has now been completed and seeking compliance and titles! They are saying that we are looking at 1st week of June but they want our official approvals done now as it could possibly become may titles! Its exciting!!
