Ready to be done with this building and thing and move on with my life. Sounds like they're not mucking around now! Will be moving day before you know it 😀😀😀 Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 2 years, 10 months to build house 943Apr 05, 2017 9:11 pm Gawd I hope so. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up.. but I am XD I'm sure I won't know what to do with myself once I'm in. Can't wait to see the splashback.. tiling was the thing I most wanted to see.. the floors were kind of good but sort of not.. so hoping I like bathrooms and kitchen splashback.. hoping they get the bathroom tiling right and didn't put in the mosaic. Also curious about my tapware and such, not really sure what I'm getting as I didn't pick them.. I'm so glad there's progress now Dawn It must just feel surreal that it's so close. My land is finally settling next Wednesday and it just doesn't feel real after all this time just waiting and talking about it! Can't wait to see pics of your tiling. I passed on the mosaic tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen as well, will be good to see how yours looks Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 2 years, 10 months to build house 946Apr 06, 2017 4:53 pm Looking forward to seeing your moving in pics. Any recommendations on where to get them cheap? I just need two for the front bedroom windows until my shutters can be installed. I just need two for the front bedroom windows until my shutters can be installed. We just got sheets really cheap from kmart and pinned them into the top of the frame (you'll never see the pinhole) worked a treat! Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 2 years, 10 months to build house 951Apr 07, 2017 5:47 pm I used paper blinds in both bathrooms of previous house - got them from bunnings - from memory i think they were less than $10 each at the time. Dunno if they're still available at bunnings these days. They have tape to attach them to the window frame (metal part) and peel off easily when you need to remove them (at least mine did) Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 2 years, 10 months to build house 952Apr 07, 2017 6:25 pm I will have to pop by Bunnings to see if they still have them. If not, I found a few online places that do them for about $50. So excited to go down and see the house tomorrow!! Splashback!! Just hope I don't find anything wrong.. need some good news. Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 2 years, 10 months to build house 953Apr 07, 2017 7:51 pm IKEA have paper blinds for like $5 from memory. That's standard here in wa Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 2 years, 10 months to build house 956Apr 07, 2017 8:24 pm Yeah, they include the toilet roll holders. I mean the holder for spare rolls.. I'm thinking I might not bother with one for the en suite, as the cabinet is close by, but for the guest toilet I think I should have one. The toilet brushes look like this. I picked them because I'm trying to avoid plastic.. unfortunately had to settle for nylon bristles because the only plastic free alternatively was animal hair, and I'm more anti animal products then I am plastic. Bit worried the black will be a bit dark.. oh well. Thinking maybe a wire basket to hold toilet rolls.. Yes going down about lunch time, going to meet up with my dad and have a look (he's working out that way). Will try to take plenty of photos. I'm sort of hoping someone is there so I can go inside to take pics, but then I prefer no tradies there so I can do what I want XD Re: {dawn} SE Melb Build - 2 years, 10 months to build house 960Apr 08, 2017 7:29 am Can't wait to see some progress Did you builder ever get back to you with a PCI date like they said they would?
