I was debating between 2.5k on an ensemble or buying a timber bedroom suite. Very nearly bought the ensemble, but changed my mind at the last minute.. drove down the road to an ex-display place and found the timber bedroom suite I wanted $500 cheaper than the furniture store I was at the day before So I bought it, though have to find a way to store it still.. opps. Still need a mattress, but thinking I will go back and get one from the same place for around $700. Also got a quote on the rest of the furniture, but even with Christmas sales its all a bit too expensive.. did finally put a deposit down on the couch I wanted though, got $500 off Still need to find a TV unit and mattress before I move in... and anything else that comes along. Merry Christmas! Looks like everything is going well.. I love your taste in everything! That study table.. where did you find it? I may have to steal your idea from you Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 384Dec 27, 2016 6:46 pm ^^; Merry Christmas! The study table came from Full House furniture. The colour is Dusty Gum, which I love... and I want to get my TV unit and dining in a matching stain, but its a little pricey. Debating if I want to fork out the cash or save it for something else.. I'll put up some pics soon. Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 385Dec 27, 2016 7:40 pm Photos as promised! This is the couch, fabric colour to be determined.. Other wise I like selection 2 or 4 you've posted. I hope you find something today GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 389Dec 28, 2016 8:21 am I do like the one Kat posted, but I have free range bunnies that love to chew on cables so I need an entertainment unit they can't get under/behind DD I just found this one on Super Amart website.. for $300 and I don't hate it... its 1.8m long. The big problem I have is finding a colour I like... find heaps of designs I don't mind Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 390Dec 28, 2016 9:06 am Too many choices. Yet nothing feels right. TV unit is the last thing I need to get before I move in.. everything else will happen after I move in, budget allowing XD Got 3 more places to check, then I might just give up... still have some time till the house is ready.. maybe I'll just wall mount the tv. Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 392Dec 28, 2016 12:37 pm Bought a TV unit... from the same place I got my bed. I'm not in love with it, but I think it will work for now.. at the price I got it happy to go with it for now and I can get something later if I want to. Its this one Got about $500 saving on it too... so all up on couch, TV unit and bed suite I've saved about $1.5k so far from regular price.. and probably another 2k on what I had budgeted to spend D Mhhm.. what else can I buy.. The bedroom suite and TV unit I got are Focus on Furniture pieces... by comparison, bedroom suite $1899 at FOF, $1200 from the warehouse; TV unit $899 at FOF, $490 from the warehouse. Pretty happy My couch is going to be custom made.. still debating on dining table, etc.. but all that can wait until the house is ready so I can see if things will suit. So, all white goods and furniture is done. Now need to focus on landscaping, blinds, etc. XD Re: {dawn} Custom 3bdr /16sq home - Wk 13 - Fixing Stage Com 397Dec 29, 2016 1:32 pm Crazy day...shopping centres are packed..and parking the car is nightmare. TV unit Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Couch (but not necessarily in this colour) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I plan to have the couch facing the tv unit and then two occasional chairs and small table to the side.. originally was thinking some sort of recliner/fabric chair, but now considering the below. Going for a comfy, modern, contemporary, coastal type look 1. Should I have these chairs in my living room as occasional chairs (they would face towards the backyard window, kitty corner to the couch)? And if so, should I go with the light coloured chairs, or the dark coloured chairs? What colour fabric should I go with for the couch? I have to pick next week. A light cream colour, grey, stone, or maybe even a navy blue? Solid or more patterned? My two cents would be - the darker chairs would contrast nicely against the lighter wood of your other furniture. The light ones look really warm in comparison to all the other wood furniture you have posted so might look a bit orangey. - I would be drawn to the slightly patterned darker grey couch in the 2nd picture because it looks like it would hide cat hair! Is there a lighter colour in that type of pattern? Is it your cat that is white and grey? A slightly lighter colour would be more coastal/hide the white hair better!
