Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our new family home Metricon Metro 32 QLD 321Dec 20, 2016 6:32 pm Was shocked the moment I looked through the front door during our visit today. We now have our stairs with the glass balustrades!!! And kitchen cabinets have gone in!! Totally unexpected as SM said these would be done next year. I think we chose the same stairs as you but we were only wondering the other day what would be around the stairs on the top floor. I think we chose the same stairs as you but we were only wondering the other day what would be around the stairs on the top floor. I wish we could afford glass on the top floor but we ran out of money so it's a dwarf wall. Re: Our new family home Metricon Metro 32 QLD 334Dec 22, 2016 6:33 pm Waterproofing to wet areas is done. Brickwork is about 90% complete. Saw our portico brick pier for the first time. It adds some width to our facade. I know we definitely did not add it. Re: Our new family home Metricon Metro 32 QLD 336Dec 23, 2016 6:45 am beac_faith Waterproofing to wet areas is done. Brickwork is about 90% complete. Question....is the slab not meant to extend into the portico? I'm pretty sure that ours does on our plan but now I'm second guessing, lol. Metro 32 KDRB Bayside Melbourne viewtopic.php?f=31&t=84012 I just checked our slab drawing. It would have been nice if it extended into the portico but it didn't. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ How does your drawing look like? Now we have a really big step down into the portico from entry door. SM said when they're almost done they will use any leftover soil to fill it up. Up here in QLD you have to pay extra for the Portico and Outdoor area slab. Beac are you getting M to do your driveway? Re: Our new family home Metricon Metro 32 QLD 340Dec 23, 2016 10:48 am Thanks Vantage and D. We're not getting our driveway done by M so I suppose whoever doing our driveway is also going to do our portico? Keen to hear from people in the area who have got KDRB done on whom they got the build from? Looking for recommendations.
