It's disappointing for you that it's gone so badly. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 102Feb 21, 2017 6:37 am Hi Liz What is PD hold up??? Friends of mine are Building with them at the moment and they are also so close but PD just wont finish it off! The stress must really take the fun out of the whole process Are you having the Window splashback? They look amazing however Im concerned about being able to keep it clean with the cooktop in front. We have it in our current design but Im still up in the air about it. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 103Feb 21, 2017 7:19 am To be honest I'm not looking forward to keeping it clean either but I really like it and I like the idea of the extra daylight. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 104Feb 21, 2017 10:58 am Lyndas Hi Liz What is PD hold up??? Friends of mine are Building with them at the moment and they are also so close but PD just wont finish it off! The stress must really take the fun out of the whole process Are you having the Window splashback? They look amazing however Im concerned about being able to keep it clean with the cooktop in front. We have it in our current design but Im still up in the air about it. Hi Lyndas, I've been writing more on the topic i started ( the other vancouver) and the original PD topic about out constant issues. But yes its exactly that!! And absolutely! We are not excited or even happy to be moving at this point. We are just fed up with the entire thing. Our originally pci was supposed to be over 2 weeks ago now, until they realized they never got a permit for our LPOD of which we had been asking our SS for months. Our SS sent emails, no follow up, firstly to the wrong plumbers, and truly knew nothing of what should have been happening for this to be completed on our site. PCI was canned and we were told that there was no future date as yet. hopeless! The workmanship in the house isnt great, facade and render needs fixing not to mention alot of fixes re painting ( which i'm sure is always standard), door handles missing, cabinets not being soft close, cabinets that need replacing due to large chips or damage, WIR recompleted for the 3rd time due to them not following our contract. We totally understand that these are huge structural issues but the fact we have got no where in the last 3 weeks is appalling. There is no way they will be ready to settle in two weeks of which we will then be homeless! Fun They are just lazy and have zero care factor, its all just bs excuses that as a customer shouldn't be our issue. What problems are your friends having? Sorry no we did not go for a window, i liked the display but just didnt fancy the cleaning or staring at a fence ha We tiled the entire wall of our kitchen, just waiting to settle so our cooker and rangehood get installed. i think ive got a pic, its a tad old. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 107Feb 21, 2017 11:09 am That looks great! How big is your island? I've been struggling to visualise how big ours will be as all the displays have huge islands ? Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 108Feb 21, 2017 11:10 am Hey Liz, I'm so sorry hear about your Vancouver. It must be pretty frustrating, so near yet so far. I guess the bright side is that you are nearly there, just a little bit more patience. We are still waiting for our block to settle, lol. Hopefully it settles ASAP so that we can start building. I hope everything is well. Kitchen looks fab, we also wanted to have a window similar to the Vancouver in Werribee but we changed it last minute because we can't be bothered cleaning it and stare at the fence. We will be doing a feature wall instead using white subway tiles with dark grout throughout the entire wall behind the standing cooktop. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 110Feb 21, 2017 1:21 pm I like yours it looks a good size, I was just afraid it would end up being small. Even though I know it won't it had me worried because they always make them huge in the displays. If that's one this we can get excited about and that is new furniture. I'm thinking 4 stools at least. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 112Feb 21, 2017 1:26 pm Yes I think it would need 4. I haven't even thought of stools yet! Thank Sgene something to look forward too huh LOL Beyond frustrating, unfortunately patience was lost a long time ago. Oh nice yes i think we discussed that last time we spoke its going to look amazing. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 114Feb 21, 2017 1:30 pm nikil Ours is a KDR in Koo Wee Rup, KDR means massive site costs from what I've learned! Yes I'll definitely check that out, plaster is completely impractical there. We also had to pay to upgrade the oven, we got some credit for the original one but the one we had to get was around $1200 from memory. We've already spent around $15,000 on the kitchen upgrades so I won't be impressed if they want to charge more to put stone where there should already be stone! Let me know how it goes with the stone window reveal. Yeah ours was a similar price to upgrade the oven we didn't expect it to be so much when you can buy a 90cm in store for $1500 but we just wanted it in there when we moved it. To much of a hassle putting it in ourselves post handover as the list is already huge! Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 115Feb 21, 2017 1:34 pm nikil Yes I think it would need 4. I haven't even thought of stools yet! hahaha I've had plenty of time to do everything.. Everything is waiting to be delivered and all the stores are 'waiting' for a delivery date. Hi Nikil, We are building the Dunedin with Porter Davis and have chosen the Seaside facade also. Are you able to upload a picture of the facade in real life? We have only seen it on a computer so would love it see a actual photo of it! I actually just found this picture on this site I think after googling for a while! Inside is a work in progress and we haven't done anything as still having work done by pd and floors ripped up, walls cut into etc etc etc and all the ones I did have from when we moved all disappeared off my phone along with 10000 other images last night Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12679 go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110762 |
