Looks like they're starting on the main entrance fence. Gonna stand out nicely going by the pictures the developer sent of the plan.

Is it ok if I copy your photos and put it on Facebook page for those that are not on tapatalk? Thanks Hi arch, The photos are on my partners phone and the ones uploaded in tapatalk are medium quality so they won't look that good in Facebook. I just msg my partner to post the photos now as she has Facebook. To make it easier each time I upload a photo here, I'll get her to post it on Facebook. saves you the trouble. Re: Eliston Estate - Clyde, Melbourne 65Dec 16, 2016 5:08 pm Anyone have experience or understanding of the Bush fire zoning? I see that now the first stages of the estate are no longer in the bush fire zone. Wondering how often this is reviewed. It's $6k that I like to save or spend on other areas of the house if possible, so hoping it gets removed from my block before we build. Eliston Estate - Clyde, Melbourne 66Dec 17, 2016 11:29 am Wow pwcc, most of the builders we've spoken to have budgeted $4k for the levy. The last update from land Victoria was October 2017. I rang the council to find out the next update but they couldn't confirm other than maybe in 6 mths. I've spoken to a few people not in the bushfire zone and they stated including fly screen, sarking, whirlybirds as an upgrade push the cost close to the bushfire levy cost anyway. Yer Boutique Homes seems a little more expensive for some reason on the Bush fire upgrade then the other builders I have got quotes from... On the Riva 29 quoted me $6,700 ... that was on a informal sort of quote, they are doing up a more foraml quote for me, so I see if changes... but then are cheaper on otherthings .. IE steel roof .. Boutique $1400 other builders $3k-$4k so it sort of balances out... Sarking would be nice since we are going the steel roof option, not sold on the Whirlybirds for Melb, had them in Qld and its was a must up there to keep the roof cavity cool and help keep the house cool.. but seeing as we experince more cold weather then hot down here, not sure what the advantage would be? as the flyscreens they are something I can do later .. rather spend my money on items that cant be done after the build or be very hard to complete after build .. so dont care of the house dosent have fly screens for a few months.. Hi PWCC, You can check the bushfire zoning in the below website. http://services.land.vic.gov.au/maps/bushfire.jsp once the land is titled, you will be able to search for your lot number. otherwise, you can zoom in/out to check it manually. Re: Eliston Estate - Clyde, Melbourne 69Dec 27, 2016 9:16 pm Hope everyone had a great xmas. I recently checked the Spear website and stage 2 most recent certification date was 4/10/16 now just waiting in the council to issue the statement of compliance than off to the titling office. Can't believe the estate is moving so quickly. Re: Eliston Estate - Clyde, Melbourne 73Jan 27, 2017 7:25 pm Does anyone know when the designated bushfire zoning will be updated next Eliston Estate - Clyde, Melbourne 74Feb 13, 2017 11:33 pm Stage 2 re certification date 8/2/17 and stage 3 re certification date 2/11/17 now just waiting on council for statement of compliance. Spoke to council planning and they stated with the amount of estates in the area and each one wanting compliance they are super busy hence the delay with a few estates. Re: Eliston Estate - Clyde, Melbourne 75Mar 02, 2017 9:31 pm Stage 2 and 3 have finally received their statement of compliance from the council as of 23/02/17. Lodgement to land Victoria was the same day so looks like title will be in 1 to 2 weeks (fingers crossed)!! Eliston Estate - Clyde, Melbourne 77Mar 02, 2017 9:51 pm What people don't understand is the council have to issue the statement of compliance. Eliston have had stage 2 and 3 provisionally completed for ages but the council is inundated with requests from multiple developers.
People should do more research instead of believing everything they're told, imo. Plus the first few stages tend to be delayed and not on time but once they get into a rhythm then it all starts to fall into place q I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 35644 It's all about wireless, self install now. The cost/benefit of wired setups for the house are no longer what they used to be. Lots of wireless options. Eufy, Arlo and… 2 6816 |
