We having a meeting with our building supervisor tomorrow. Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 26Apr 11, 2016 7:18 pm We chose it becuase we like the look of them better on the new houses. Shorhaven estate does have specific requirements about "light colours" but it can be tile or colourbond. Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 27Apr 11, 2016 7:24 pm I have upgraded to a colorbond roof too because I like the look of it but now I have upgraded I think I like the look of flat roof tiles haha, I'm so indecisive my husband is going to shoot me lol. We are going to stick with the colorbond roof though because we are on tank water and everything I read say that colorbond roofs harvest rainwater better while concrete tiles can absorb quite a bit of it and while tiles are cheaper they cost more in the long run with maintenance Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 28Apr 11, 2016 7:26 pm Yeah I'd imagine that you would get a lot more water off a colourbond roof than tiles. I know what you mean about being indecisive though. The more I look at things the more I keep changing my mind Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 29Apr 11, 2016 7:41 pm Hahaha I know, I am still struggling between tiles and laminate flooring Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 30Apr 20, 2016 7:33 am Anymore progress for you Moggi? Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 31Apr 20, 2016 11:16 pm charlibear Anymore progress for you Moggi? Yes it's all moving so quickly now. The inspector picked up quite a few things at the brickwork and roof frame stages so they have now been fixed. We went around on Monday to meet with the building supervisor and to our amazement they were apply the render and internal great player float! Next week they do ceilings Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 32Apr 21, 2016 7:30 am Awesome Moggi! Your build is moving super fast!!! Re: Building in Shorehaven, Alkimos with Ideal Homes 37Apr 27, 2016 7:55 pm Lovely facade! And it's good to see another Shale Grey roof - that's the colour we've chosen and I've been so worried it would look bright white when it goes on but yours looks lovely and soft. I'm really pleased with the colour too. Building in Shorehaven, we had to have a light roof, as it was part of the estate covenant rules. Ask for references and speak to them.
