Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Home Group WA- The Bordeaux 41Sep 06, 2016 12:26 am Hi thought I would catch everyone up on what is happening, we had all our cabinets installed on Friday and this Friday we are meeting the tilers on site to make sure everyone is on the same page. Just wondering what I need to make sure they are aware of, does anybody have some advice? Re: Home Group WA- The Bordeaux 42Sep 06, 2016 12:42 am I've noticed on a couple of build threads that some tilers don't always work evenly, like in a w/c there would be two full size tiles to one side, then a half size one cut to fit on the other, instead of having smaller cut tiles on each side and the full in the middle, if that makes sense? It's so lazy, it would drive me nuts lol Follow our HGWA build in Baldivis @ viewtopic.php?t=83352&f=31&p=1604334#p1604334 Follow our HGWA build in Baldivis @ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=83352&f=31&p=1604334#p1604334 Re: Home Group WA- The Bordeaux 44Sep 06, 2016 9:58 am Our tilers were amazing and no stupid off sized tiles. We did however have our feature tile off centre as i dont like them in the centre so maybe that helped the tiler with being able to use full tiles. Hope it goes well Re: Home Group WA- The Bordeaux 48Sep 06, 2016 10:41 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ensuite Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Laundry Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Linen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kitchen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Larder Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Home Group WA- The Bordeaux 51Sep 25, 2016 11:13 am Your choices look great. But it was nice to come back and see that all the tiling had been completed, garage door installed, range hood installed and the electrical work commenced. The following week I have all the inserts for the robes going in and then the curtains and blinds to be installed. However with the painter coming in I have to pick a colour that will suit the whole house as hubby wants to use pictures and accessories to add colour. We are getting the house professionally painted so its like I have to choose the right colour as which is giving me a headache I am now onto my 8th sample pot of paint but in the end it will hopefully be worth it. We are very happy with Southwards. It's a really nice grey but it does have a reasonably strong colour. We have it in every room of the house. Good luck with your choice. 4 14454 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds.
